First 100 Days
Another milestone in this lifestyle change occurred this week. Dan (Hubby) and I have been committed to this life style for 100 days. We began this journey on June 25, 2007 with a commitment like we have never had before when it came to our health and weight.
Like many of you that visit this board and have become a member of the Alli Family, I have tried so many different diets, pills schemes and anything else you can think of with little or no success. If I only had all the money that I have spent back there's no telling what I could do with the extra money :O)
I'll share some of the things that I have learned in hopes that it will help and encourage each of you to continue on your journey to healthy and happy journey through life.
In the beginning, probably the first 2 weeks, I actually gained weight. Talk about frustrating!!!! Thanks to the help of Betty Kovacs and her guidance on what I should try in order to get the right mix of calorie intake and fat grams I started to see a steady weight loss of between 1 and 2 pounds per week.
One hundred days equates to 25 pounds gone, this has been a slow but steady pace and it is working for me and for Dan. Someone else pointed out that the 25 pounds equates to 1/4 pound a day - that's sound really good in my book!
My ultimate goal is to be some where around 130-140 pounds by summer 2008. I started out at 210 pounds, I'm now at 185. I'm working on a milestone now of breaking 180, I hope to accomplish that mile stone in the next few weeks. Dan started out a 348, he is now at 287. He is ultimate goal is to be appox 200. He too works toward intermediate milestones. He is working now toward 275 by Christmas and I see no reason why he want make that.
Good luck to each of you on journey of a healthy and happy life.
