    Early menstrual cycle

Hello!  I started Alli this past Tuesday.  I have been on Birth Control (OrthoTricyclen Lo) for years and years and my period has been like clockwork.  For the first time in I don't know how long my period came a week and a half early.  I'm just wondering if this could be a side effect of Alli or if it's just a coincidence.  Does anyone know?  Has this happened to anyone else?  Not sure if I should be concerned.

I have been on the "patch" for about 5 yrs now and I too was like clock work.  and when I started ALLI, I noticed I had started spotting for a few days, then it stopped.  And I was not due for it for at least 2 wks.  weird huh?

    Re: Early menstrual cycle

My period was a week early as well.  I also recall reading someone had very tender breasts.  This does make me wonder if this is somehow doing something with our hormones?  I don't know.  I'm not upset about the early period, just wanted to say you are not alone.  HTH

    Re: Early menstrual cycle

Mine was early as well.  There is another post "lost in translation" here in the "world of posts" about it.  There are several women who started early as well.  The dietician recommended calling the company, but I did not.  I knew it was coming eventually so I wasn't concerned.  Better early than late!!!

     Good luck!!!

I posted this a few weeks ago, but I haven't had a period in like 3 years, and on day 4 of taking Alli I had a period...and my breasts were very tender.  Hope its not back for good!!!

    Re: Early menstrual cycle

Okay, then I'm not alone. Except that it's been two YEARS since my last period and now I'm spotting. I had been checked for pre-menopause a few months ago, and was told that I was actually fully entrenched in menopause. So I was a little freaked out - now, not so much.

    Hi Everyone,
The best thing to do would be to check in with the pharmacist on their board. They are there to discuss any possible medication interactions and side effects with alli.

    Good luck,
