     Ann,

We have to remember that losing weight is not a one time event but a lifelong journey.  The heathiest diets include everything - just in moderation.  You can have a piece of wedding cake - just plan for it on your day's overall intake.  When we start depriving ourselves of something like this - then we feel sorry for ourselves and quickly plunge back into eating everything.

A small piece of cake won't have enough fat to cause a major problem.  So have a tiny piece and enjoy the wedding.

Same thing happened to me on vacation.  Gained back 5 lbs, but lost it in one week.

I started Alli the fourth of July and lost twenty five pounds in two and a half weeks. I couldn't believe how quick the weight came off and was calling my doctor constantly because I was concerned it was too fast, but just like she predicted it has slowed down so that it took me over a week to lose one pound. I have been trying to work out six days a week as opposed to my normal four so that my metabolism will get a good kick, but i'm not disappointed. I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and (i'm not sure if anyone knows about the disorder but it makes hunger management and weightloss very difficult if not impossible) thus far I am pleasently surprised with how easy it's been to make changes in my diet and lifestyle. While the workouts are rough, my body will adapt. Even if it takes a year, I will continue to fight. I hope everyone else is staying strong! and keep telling yourself, nothing worth having ever comes easy.

I'm now down 7 pounds in 7 weeks and have resigned myself to the idea of losing slowly.  At least, at this rate, I will be looking good for the holidays!
