I used to work for WW (9 years) and they are a reputable company genuinely concerned about how people choose to lose weight. They are still a for-profit corporation and are most likely concerned about their bottom-line like I would be if a competitor came out with something new. I remember when Phen-Phen came out and it seems the WW meetings were not about putting down those who were taking it, because there were WW members using the pill as well as the WW program, but rather were about saying that the pill was a personal choice a patient made with their own doctor. I thought their approach with Phen-Phen was awesome. It was like, "It's none of our business what your doctor tells you to do; We're just here to support your journey." Are WW leaders saying negative things, or are WW members just saying crap because someone's not agreeing that their way is the only way? Not everything works for everybody. I know, I've seen it all. Sometimes people get funny when others get excited and start to see results. It's that old caddy jealous stuff showing its face. We should all support each other and be happy when someone is successful, after all, when someone else succeeds, it gives us all hope, right?
