    Re: Ugh... Weight Watcher Boards

I'm on WW and doing Alli.  What is nice is that I was already doing low-fat on WW so I could start Alli right away.  My third day and I am doing great!

I am so NOT hungry with the menu that they provided me.  Wow that surprises me!  It's lunch time and I don't even want to eat!

For breakfast I had 3 egg whites with peppers and onions made with Lt. Butter with Canola, 2 pieces of lt. wheat toast (dry, LOL!) and a cup of coffee with fat free half and half and I am still NOT hungry!  that was about 8 and now it's 1.

     I LOVE it!!!

It seems like the more tools, the broader the support, the better. WW offers sound nutritional programs, Alli offers sound complimentary support.  Win-Win for me!

    Re: Ugh... Weight Watcher Boards

Someone once told me that sometimes you need to keep things to yourself in order to succeed. People are always going to say something negative in general. Say for instance if you fail on the program instead of losing pounds that you want to or what they expect you to you will be put down and that will make you feel like a failure. As an overweight/obese society we are always put down and crticized. Sometimes it is not our fault and they always blame us for being fat. They are trying their best to help the obese society and when they bring out a product like ALLY they criticize it. Okay, we all know that it is similar to Xenical, but it is cheaper and you can purchase it without the prescription. Every medication has its side effect. I have tried Xenical once before and have experienced the side effects, so with dosage being half of Xenical it shouln't be as bad. So from now on we should discuss our weightloss remidies with certain people, only with someone that can relate and give support. I know that it will be hard, but once they see our results they are going to want to know "how did you lose all that weight?".

    Re: Ugh... Weight Watcher Boards

You know it's funny because I've been a Weight Watcher for years and years and after ready the literature on Alli I thought it sounded just like Weight Watchers which is another reason I felt good about purchasing the product. For pete's sake it's a great help to be able to lose that excess fat from your body, lots of water does the same thing. I intend to keep drinking my water because I still think that's the key to it all.

    Re: Ugh... Weight Watcher Boards

I used to work for WW (9 years) and they are a reputable company genuinely concerned about how people choose to lose weight. They are still a for-profit corporation and are most likely concerned about their bottom-line like I would be if a competitor came out with something new. I remember when Phen-Phen came out and it seems the WW meetings were not about putting down those who were taking it, because there were WW members using the pill as well as the WW program, but rather were about saying that the pill was a personal choice a patient made with their own doctor. I thought their approach with Phen-Phen was awesome. It was like, "It's none of our business what your doctor tells you to do; We're just here to support your journey." Are WW leaders saying negative things, or are WW members just saying crap because someone's not agreeing that their way is the only way? Not everything works for everybody. I know, I've seen it all. Sometimes people get funny when others get excited and start to see results. It's that old caddy jealous stuff showing its face. We should all support each other and be happy when someone is successful, after all, when someone else succeeds, it gives us all hope, right?

    Re: Ugh... Weight Watcher Boards

I've been on WW since April, and I've lost 16.5lbs.  It really works well for me, and I enjoy the program.  I'm looking at Alli as an aid, not "hey!  I can eat like a pig if I take Alli!"

I'm staying with WW, but will use Alli as something to help me out a bit.
