Any gals who are looking to lose 20-25lbs and want to be buddies?

    Hey Ladies,

I started Alli on July 5 and as of yesterday, I am down 4 lbs!!!! yoohoo!!!!  I am looking to lose approx 20-25lbs.  I am 41 married and have two little girls.  I was wondering if anyone who was looking to lose this amount of weight wanted to be buddies and help support each other!!!!

A little about me.  I work out 5-6 times a week.  I walk/run my treadmill and do light weights.  I eat pretty clean but unfortunately have the hereditary gene that I need to exercise and eat clean.  I had lipo done to my lower body last August.  It was very helpful.  I guess I took too much security in my newfound body and started to ease off my clean eating.  I was heartbroken!!!  Now, I am serious about losing these 20-25 lbs.  I want to feel GREAT once again like I did 4 months ago!!!

So, anyone else on board with me and want to chat and support each other would be great!!!

    Re: Hi Kegbert!

    Hi,

I'm looking to lose 25. I'm 22 and recently graduated from a college that fed us nothing but fatty food. When I lived in California, I actually lost 45lbs, but gained back 35lbs after moving back to the east coast. I'm ready to lose this belly. I started alli two weeks ago. I was gaining weight before because I was doing mroe weight training than cardio, but since doing more cardio this week and cutting my weight training back to twice a week, I've lost 1.5lbs (pretty good since I went away with friends for a couple of days and allowed myself more fat than I should have).

    Good luck!

I'm 25 and looking to lose about 23 pounds. I had lost about 30 before and then moved in with my boyfriend a year ago and put it back on. (thanks to his pizza/wing addiction).  I just want to feel better about myself.  I am not what you'd consider overweight, but I am definatly on the chubby side and would at least like to be at my "Ideal weight" which is about 147.  I am actually starting today with the pills and will take my first one at lunch(being that i had to have one final goodbye with ice cream and a peanut butter sandwich).  I had been eating low cal and low fat though for the past couple, it's just at night when i get myself into to trouble.  I hope this pill helps to serve as a control being that if i slip up i will pay with te.

Good Luck to all and lets post our progress!!!

I read on one of the posts that a woman had gained and so she drank cranberry juice and it flushed out her system and she ended up losing 4 pounds.  try it, it could all just be water weight

Hi, I just started alli yesterday.  I'm 47 yrs old and going through the "change".  I've always been a size 4, watched what I ate and excercised daily.  Since retiring two years ago, I've gained 25 lbs. I am now motivated to get back to the real me.  I'm 5'2, so even 5 extra lbs on me is too much.  My husband and I walk 2 miles at 5 am every morning (re-started on Monday).  I'm feeling better already.  Although I know it's not going to be easy, I'm motivated to get fit.  Glad there are others here for the moral support.

Re: Any gals who are looking to lose 20-25lbs and want to be buddies?

    Hi ladies!

I'de love to join in with you. I just started a week ago and I'm down 2.5 lbs as of today. This is great for me -  I just need to really keep it up. I'de love the accountability and support of chatting with you guys. I have a tendency to reward myself with food when I'm doing really well (not a good thing).

I'm 43, married and have two children ( 7 and 3 yrs). I am still (believe it or not) looking to lose the baby weight (plus some). My 3 year old son will turn 4 next month and I have to get rid of this weight now. I am having visions of still carrying this extra weight around when he's in high school. My ultimate goal is to lose 20 lbs.

I've been really trying hard to lose since my son was born. Hopefully alli will help. I do 3 to 5 days of cardio (treadmill with intervals and walk jog outside) and 2 to 3 days of weights a week (high weights low reps to gain muscle).

Wannabefit, try not to get discouraged! You could be holding some water, could be gaining some muscle, eating too little (so your body holds on to every bit). I love to watch the reruns of The Biggest Loser - it really encourages me. I've seen so many times that some of these people have worked like crazy and not lost a pound. Usually they lose the following week. And with having only 20-25 lbs to lose it gets harder the closer you are to your goal. You can do it! Keep up the good work!  (hope that helps!).        p.s. ...asparagus is a diuretic, too

    Checking in...

I weighed myself this morning and I'm now down another 1.5lbs. It's really getting me motivated. Just had a can of fruit and now heading to the gym. I've decided I'm going to try and stick to my original short term goal of 30lbs. Eventually, I'd like to lose a total of 50lbs.

Re: Any gals who are looking to lose 20-25lbs and want to be buddies?

Hi all, I started July 4th. I lost only 1 pound. but, not the fault of alli. i thought if i worked out and took the pill, i would loose. not so. i have to watch what i eat also. so, this week i started to use the nutrition tracker to stay under 1,700 cals a day. so far, it is working. we all think we eat far less than we do if we actually keep track of it. i don't use the meal planner because i have a family and there is no way i can eat differently than they do. i work full time so my husband does all the shopping and cooking and i do all the cleaning and laundry. it works for us. this is why i cannot tell him what to cook for me. i have two daughters. one 5'8 115lbs and the other 5'3 165lbs. the younger one has my shape. i am 5'5 158 and want to loose 20lbs. i am 43 years old.

i walk 2 miles on my lunch break everyday and walk our dogs before and after work. we are selling a home so after i get that expense out of our hair, i hope to join a yoga class :)

best of luck and i am here if you need to talk

Re: Any gals who are looking to lose 20-25lbs and want to be buddies?

    Hi to all!!

I started on Alli June15, this will be my 4th week. so far I have lost about 4 or 5 lbs. I want to lose an additional 25 lbs. I would like to weigh 135-140... for my height of 5foot 5.5 inches. I walk only 1 mile 5 days a week, I walk my puppy everyday at least 3 or 4 times. I have to climb stairs to get to my apartment everyday. That is my exercise. Sometimes I will ride on my stationary bike for about 15 min.

I have been keeping the fat grams under 15 per meal, there have been days when my total fat grams came to 20-25(for the day).

    Well good luck to all.

    Tina

Re: Any gals who are looking to lose 20-25lbs and want to be buddies?

Hello! I also started on July 5th.  So far I have lost 4.2 lbs!  I am looking to loose 20 lbs. A little about me…I am 31 years old with 2 kids…Donovan age 7 and Sydney age 3.  I am a teacher at an alternative school for kids with ADD/ADHD and/or Asperger’s (a mild form of Autism).  I live in NE Ohio…about 45 min. west of Cleveland.   I am looking for some moral support from others!  My husband is not crazy about me using Alli, but he is so supportive of everything I do he is right there with me cheering me on.  He is GREAT!  Along with me he lost 50-60 lbs. last year.   Last year I lost 40 lbs. on Atkins.  Over the last year I resorted back to my old eating habit…fast food, candy, junk food, etc…I have gained back 15 lbs.  One good thing is that my -40 lbs clothes still fit…although they are a little tight with bulge hanging over (not pretty)  I tried Atkins again January, but I just could not stick with it this time.  I could not stomach not eating carbs again…I do love them! For anyone who is interested I do have some good ideas for “sweet tooth” cravings and exercise.
    1. Strawberry Sundae—cut up fresh strawberries and sprinkle with a little sweetener.  Topic with “Free” Kool-Whip and crushed dry-roasted peanuts.  I swear it tastes just like a strawberry sundae, but with virtually no calories or fat.
    2. Chocolate Moose—make sugar-free chocolate pudding with fat-free milk and refrigerate.  When ready to eat mix in “Free” Kool-Whip.  It is great for those chocolate cravings.
    3. My brother gave me this exercise plan last year.  He is a nurse in the Navy and works with cardiac patients.  Walk at a brisk pace on a treadmill while watching a 1 hr. TV program.  Walk while the program is on and rest or do sit-up while the commercials are on.  I do not have a TV near my treadmill so I came up with this plan:  walk at a brisk pace (3.8-4.1 mph) for 8 min and rest or do sit-ups for 2 min for a total of 1 hr.  (total walking for 48 min and resting for 12 min)
Anyway, if anyone would like to be my online support for my adventure I would love to have the company.   AlisonStarting: 220Goal: 200Current: 215.8 (as of July 12)
