Re: Any gals who are looking to lose 20-25lbs and want to be buddies?

    Hello All!

Well...it is Saturday and I am beginning with Alli today!  It is good to see so many positive comments regarding the pills.

I am 5' 6" and weigh 172. My target weight and comfortable weight is 130-135.

I am 41 and have been marred for 23 wonderful years! I live in Ohio. I have three children, 23, 17 and 15! I am a busy marketing executive in long term care. I have gained weight slowly over the last year as I have traveled (usually driving) and usually have luncheon or dinner meetings.   This is killer!  Even when you try to eat good while dining out, it is really tough for me.

I joined the gym earlier this year and worked out alot...however I just could not lose the extra weight.  Did not tone up much either! (January - April)

The only thing I am worried about is the treatment effects.  Since I travel....I fear I will be on the interstate and DESPARATELY need a restroom!  I pray that does not happen!

I look forward to reaching my goal along with all of you!  Reading your posts have inspired me to go forth and conquer!!! Or at least fit into my favorite jeans from 2 years ago!!!

    Blessings to you all!

Re: Any gals who are looking to lose 20-25lbs and want to be buddies?

I just had my first weigh in yesterday...2 lbs down.  I am starting to have some frustrations though.  I feel that if I was doing this on my own, without Alli I would have lost two pounds anyhow just by lowering my fat and calories.  Actually, I know I could.  I did Weight Watchers a few years ago and got down from 202 to 170 in a matter of 4 months, it was great.  I of course since then moved in with my fiance and got right back up to 207.  I think the reason that Alli will work as a good way to get me started on my weight loss (even if I am not seeing the results I want) is that it will keep me honest.  There is no use in eating too much because I will then have TEs and then will be miserable.  Anyone done other diets and lost more?  I feel that it may be the only thing that makes me feel like this is not worth sticking too if I can just do weight watchers and lose more.  HELP!!!  I think I need a little motivation.

Re: Any gals who are looking to lose 20-25lbs and want to be buddies?

Hi, I'm 35 married and looking to lose 25 -30 pounds.  I registered on Monday night and started the pills yesterday.  I was excited to lose 2 lbs by just counting calories and fat.  I can't wait to see what happens when I check in on Saturday.

I walk outside with either the dog or carrying light weights.  Before I bought the pills I lost 14 lbs and have been stuck there for about a month.

I look forward to chatting with everyone.

Re: Any gals who are looking to lose 20-25lbs and want to be buddies?

Congratulations to you all on your weight loss! What an inspiration! I just joined today and will begin my low-fat, low-calorie diet tomorrow. I unfortunately have 32lbs to lose but reading all the messages has got me motivated and excited to start. I am a 46 year old hospice nurse who went from 120lbs to 160lbs in one year. I used to exercise regularly but now I come home from work so emotionally exhausted that I usually eat and go to bed. The extra weight has also presented some very unwanted medical conditons so losing weight is an absolute must for me. I have cut back on work to part-time and am taking a few weeks off  to concentrate on "me." My husband is very supportive and in fact has just bought me a gym membership. I have 2 children, a daughter who is starting college this year and a son who will be in the 6th grade. It is great to know there are people like you out there going through the same struggles and I look forward to being part of your support group.

     Keep up the good work!

Re: Any gals who are looking to lose 20-25lbs and want to be buddies?

I am getting a later start than most of you and I need to lose more but, I will join in anyway. I am 34 yr old mother of a daughter, 13, and a son, 9. I have been married for 15 yrs. I am a full-time nurse. I just recently changed specialty areas which has caused some stress. We are also in the process of building a new home. To top it off I am taking some prerequisite classes in anticipation of starting a masters program in the next few years. I am a stress eater sooooo...... that is why I am here. I have struggled with my weight since the birth of my last child and I am ready to finally get it together!!! For me this is a lifestyle change. Alli is a tool to keep me on the low fat track. I want to be healthy. I started the diet portion of the program on wen. and started the pills yesterday. So far I am down 6 lbs. Yeah!!!!!!!

Is it too late to join this posting?  I am just starting today and am hoping to lose 20-25 by my 30th birthday (12/23).  This all sounds very encouraging to hear the success you have all had.  Thank you for posting your stories.

Re: Any gals who are looking to lose 20-25lbs and want to be buddies?

Kubra! You are my kinda gal! I LOVE peanut butter and I was soo sad to think that I could not have it while taking ALLI because of the high fat content. I started Alli on Tuesday and have lost 2lbs so far. After reading numerous posts, I realized that I may be sabotaging myslef by staying UNDER my calorie and fat limit.... so... I am sooo adding PB back in, the low fat kind. If you think about it, you can even make a whole meal around PB. Just have one serving (2 Tablespoons, approx 12 grams fat) spread on celery sticks or carrots.. whatever your preference (I like apples), a glass of fat free chocolate (i have a serious sweet tooth) milk and have some fruit along with it. That could easily add up to 300-400 calories. Yum... I am soo going to buy PB first thing after I change out of my PJ's ;-) So, Im about 15lbs overweight, but my BMI is WAAAYYY to high. I had my bloodwork done at the Dr. the other day and my triglycerides are dangerously high and my cholesterol isnt very good either, which I really do not understand because I am a vegetarian and dont even eat anything animal products (wll, ice cream is a bit of a vice). I am hoping that with this diet, I will loose weight and at the same time BE HEALTHIER! I am looking forward to my first 'check in' tomorrow.

Hello, Im 45 years old from Ca. I did lipo on my tummy 5 years ago and have been eating ALL wrong. Now i'm paying for it. I will feel better when I loose 20 pounds. People say I look good but I don't feel good. I know there are others out there with more to loose but I counts how you feel about yourself.

Re: Any gals who are looking to lose 20-25lbs and want to be buddies?

Hey Beth how was your weekend? I did well on Friday but Saturday not so good. We went to a street carnival and there were all are favorite foods there! i shared with Jeff as to save on calories but i did splurge. so, today i am cutting back as to save what i went over yesterday. sometimes, when you don't have a calorie counter with you, and you get home, you find that you went waaaay over what you thought you were eating. i found that one out last night. even after all that, jeff made a banana split and asked me if i want one. i said, "heck no! do you want me to gain back the 2 lbs i lost last week?!" this morning he made muffins for breakfast and i had 2(they were small) and we are about to go to his company picnic. i will for sure be good there. i know there will be lots of fruit and veggie trays so i will stick with that and doing what i love 2nd most talking! that will keep me busy. i weigh in tuesday(what day for you?) so i have a few days to recoop. i may even run a few miles before then...hahaha..
    take care, Kat :)

Not sure if this was to me Tracy.  I am in MA, just north of boston.  I became reinvirgorated this morning though.  My fiance has now decided that he would like help to not the be the fat groom, so I am going to be doing weight watchers while taking Alli just to make it super successful.  I think I was just having an off day yesterday.  (well kind of), so my motivation is back.  good luck to you too.
