Needed:

A blender or food processor

2 or 3 cups of fat free yogurt (ANY FLAVOR YOU LIKE) (My favorite is strawberry bannana & Raspberry)

Fresh fruit cut into slices (I used 1 medium banana & 1 medium apple)

1 1/2 trays of ice

1 cup of milk (1% is best but you can also use 2% since you are using only 1 cup)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Dump cups of yogurt into blender or food processor

Cut your desired fruit into slices and then put into blender

Blend until smooth

Add 1 cup of milk

Add ice in a few at a time & blend after each addition

Blend until YOUR desired consistancy ( I Like mine thick like a shake)

Pour into glass and enjoy!!!!

If you have leftovers which I did, refigerate rest and save for another healthy snack or for when you want something SWEET!

I have a major problem with wanting sweet stuff and getting the desired fruit servings for the day. This was a great way for me to get some sweetness and added fruit into my diet. I am drinking one right now and loving it.

ENJOY!

Here's my top 10 - all easy to grab and go!

Pretzel nuggets: Low fat, low calorie and filling. Prebag them so they are in the right quantities. I can eat 16 of these with NO fat and only 100 calories!

Popcorn: I buy the 100 calorie bags. I can eat all of it if I want and no guilt. It's very filling.

Frozen Fruit Bars: I love the Edy's frozen fruit bars. The orange one tastes just like a creamsicle! 80 calories, 1.5 gr fat.

Veggies: Baby carrots and celery sticks are ready to go! Cucumber slices are refreshing too - prepare them a bunch at a time and store them in the fridge.

Yogurt: I buy the low fat kind. With all the awesome flavors, how can you resist. My fav is Boston Cream Pie.

Seltzer: I love cans of Seltzer. i grab one when I htink I'm hungy, but always feel better after a flavored drink.

Fruit: Expand your horizons and try a new fruit. Cut up a bunch before the week starts and store in plastic containers - ready to go!

No fat pudding cups: Can you say CHOCOLATE? I love these!

Sugar Free Jello cups: Easy to transport. All kinds of good flavors.

Rice Cakes: I love the no fat apple/cinnamon kind. These taste like DESSERT!

Do you have favorite grab and go snacks? I generally have one after my meal and that's my body's signal that it's the end of eating for a while. So, rather than having ice cream or any other gluttonous snack, I empty the chocolate yogurt into my favorite bowl and top it with raspberries and blackberries that I've thawed (don't add sugar and the thawed berries are very versitile... great as a fresh snack, on top of eggos, mixed in a shake, etc.). On top of the berries, I throw on a small handful of crushed almonds, pistachios, and cashews.

This little snack covers my chocolate craving, gives me some great fiber from the berries, and I get a nice little salt craving satisfaction from the nuts (not to mention the health benefits from the almonds). Try it and let me know what you think! :)

I toss them onto a baking sheet then I shake worschestshire (I can't spell that word) sauce on it. I toss them to coat and bake in the oven at 350 until they are no longer "wet" from the Lea & Perrins. Stirring occasionally. It gives the pretzels a nice spice and no added fat. I especially enjoy them warm out of the oven.

pudding

Just though I would share my all time favorite bedtime snack. I cut up a banana and put it in a bowl and pour one chocolate sugar free pudding cup on top....mmmmm...it is so good that I have to remind myself that I don't need to feal guilty!!

Kosher salt?

Hi i was wondering if cooking with kosher salt is fattening?

Coconut oil

I have been reading great things on Coconut oil.
So, I was shopping online at QVC one day and stumbled on these. These are so delicious, and QVC has the best flavor choices in their set and a better price than the Holey Donut site! The vanilla tastes BETTER than a Crispy Creme!!! I checked the Holey Donut website for nutritional info before I purchased, here goes... only 148-149 calories/3 grams fat per chocolate, vanilla or carmel versions, and 209 calories/4 grams fat for coconut version, 217calories/3.9 grams fat for raspberry version, and 218calories/3.8 grams fat for blueberry version, all have 2 mg or less cholesterol! You can easily add these to your diet and not suffer without a sweet! I will be back for more, but they send you so much it is going to take a while to finish the first set! AND! If you do not like them, QVC returns you money. Either way, you have nothing to lose, other than pounds LOL.

Let me know if you try them,
