For lunch yesterday, a friend of mine brought me a whitefish salad with bagels for lunch. I didn't know how many calories where in the bagel let alone the whitefish salad. It was sooooo good!!! I didn't have any treatment affects (not yet) but I know I probably will. Then for dinner my mother bbq some hamburgers and porkchops and ribs. She made the potato salad with greens and cornbread. I looked in the refrigerator and there were more healthier food choices that I could have picked, but I couldn't . I just couldn't resist. I don't know what to do when it comes to the cravings. Before then, I didn't have a burger in weeks let alone the potatoe salad or cornbread. So last night I went to the grocery store bought oatmeal, cereal and fruit and sandwhiches with low fat chips and water to get me through the week. I was so excited and felt as though I could make amends for yesterday and the night before. ( I had the bbq on sunday, and ate the leftovers on monday) I get to work this morning anticipating my cereal, when I see the whitefish in the employees refrigerator with 1/2 a bagel. I gave in to the cravings. I feel like a failure. I feel like I'm backsliding. I was losing weight, feeling good, exercising. I don't know what to do!!! HELP!!!

SMOKED NECK BONES

I would like to know if anyone has any fat or nutrition information on smoked neck bones; I'm dying to cook some soon...

Thanks in advance

Skye68

HELP ME PLEASE

I have been on every diet in the world.
I'm from Nevada but had to ask y'all if anyone has had any success with this particular Alli recipe. I'm a pretty good cook, which is why I put on so much weight over the years and didn't think when I read the ingredients and cooking process that it would work out very well. This chicken turned out horrible and nothing like the golden brown picture shown.

Does anyone have a good oven fried chicken recipe?

Line the bottom of the crock pot with the onion

2. Trim the chicken breasts and place on top of the bed of onions.

3. Mix all of the sauce ingredients together and pour on top of the chicken covering completely. (I make the sauce the night before so that it is a simple dump and run in the morning.)

4. Cook for 6 hours on low setting (this was what the original recipe said. I actually cook mine more like 7-8 hours on low or 4-5 on high) The sauce thickens and turns into a dark rich brown during cooking. At the same time the onions dissolve into the sauce.

5. When the chicken is falling apart tender, take two forks and shred the chicken.

6. Serve on top of split buns. I like mine toasted so they hold up better to the weight of the shredded chicken.

I also make my low fat cole slaw to go with this. I played with this recipe a bit at first. I replaced the entire cup of ketchup with half a cup of BBQ sauce and half a cup of ketchup until I realized how much high fructose sugars were in bottled BBQ sauce. I then went back to the entire cup of ketchup and added just a touch of liquid smoke to give it that smokey flavor I was missing without the BBQ sauce. If you really wanted you could keep the BBQ sauce but I think it just adds more sugar. This recipe is very low in fat(2-3 grams per serving from my calculations) and roughly 200 calories a serving (without the bun). Most of the calories I feel pretty certain are from the natural sugar in molasses.

Anyway, I hope someone else finds this helpful and as I said before, I found this on the internet so I cannot take complete credit for it, just thought I would share.

Keeping the faith in yourself

This is for all of us that may think we are fallin or have sipped please read PSALMS 130:3 this scripture will help us get through anything that we may think is to tough to understand.

Banana Split

Banana(s)

It is sooo easy and tastes so goood.

You need one box of milk chocolate cake mix and you mix it with one can of diet coke. (DO NOT ADD OIL OR EGGS)

Bake for 25 min. at 350 degrees.

You can top it with fat free Cool Whip and a can of low sugar cherry pie filling.

I am not sure of the total fat grams but, it is only two points for a two inch square on WW.

You can also use lemon or white cake with diet Sprite.

But, I really like the Chocolate and so do my kids.

Be sure that you use Mik Chocolate cake mix, if you use the dark or fudge it will work but the cake doesn't rise and it is more like a fudge brownie.

You can always experiment.

Cornbread recipes?

I know cornbread is majorly bad, but my girlfriends and I had been planning a chili supper at my home long before I started Alli, and it is on friday, does anyone have a good low fat recipe, or any other suggestions, any help would be appreciated,,thanks steph!
