Make the time for your workout to get that activity in, i do it at night and go to bed earlier now and i am getting more sleep and have cut out most of the late night snacking unless it is a fruit smootie or on the meal plan. no chips no cookies no soda either, lots of water. we will benefit on the course once we lose that extra weight, i am looking forward to being able to get some nice gear instead of the shappy oversized stuff i wear, when you look good you feel good and you play good. you can do it, we all can and will if we want to.

Re: Checking in for the first time....

Re: Checking in for the first time....

I am just getting started.. I am waiting the few days to get on the pills as the plan recommends. As I need to "weed out" the fat of the last two days or so. I am getting them today after work and starting them Wednesday after the weigh-in. We have a club at work "Chub Club", so my goal is to come out on top of that contest.

I am sure the water weight will also shed off in the first few weeks as well.

Re: Checking in for the first time....

Not sure why you are waiting. "Just do it". The pills are easy to carry in a pocket and take with each meal.

You are correct that salt helps retain water, but water weight is not what you should be concerned with. I know "weight" is generally the only measure we use to determine our progress, but weight is really not the issue, it is "fat weight" that is the issue. So don't worry about the few pounds of water weight. If you work out the muscle weight will also increase, not a reason to not workout.

I have been on Alli for about 18 months, I dropped about 25 lbs (215 down to 191), I lost it all in the first 6 months. I have yet to workout, but plan to start soon. Going through the big D right now and becoming a single dad of 2 may takes it's toll on my schedule though.

One of the biggest changes I have noticed is my cholestrol has always been high (280-310), I have seen doctors and been on medication, nothing really seemed to help. Since I have been on Alli, my level has dropped to about 200 for the first time in my life.

Good luck with the plan,

Mitch

I am starting on Monday as my weekend was just too hectic to do anything. My diet starts on Monday, Im weighing in on Wednesday and starting the pills on Thursday. That is the plan so far.

My only concern is with the diet I set up for myself at work, It is high in sodium, thanks to the Lean Cuisine meals I got. Doesn't sodium hold the water in, thereby not allowing the weight to come off?
