Or can it still "just" happne? Could you really poop your pants? Could oily spotting run down your leg?

How long I should wait around a bathroom after taking Alli and eating (even if I do stay below the 15g of fat)? Does it happen pretty quickly, or does it take hours?

Do you generally "go" once or does it take several BMs to get it through your system?

Once I go on the plan, if I know that I am going to have a meal that will cause treatment effects but I can't avoid it can I just skip the pill and not worry about having an accident or will I have some residual in my body that will cause me to have some effects?

This one might sound a little stupid... on the "oily residue" thing... does it only come out when you pass gas or have a BM or does it seep out on it's own?

Thanks!

1. Low fat foods tend to be higher in carbs and sugar to give them taste. If you don't use up those carbs, they get stored in the body, resulting in extra pounds.

2. Everyone remembers the low carb craze a few years ago...it was a big thing because people were actually losing weight on it, and fast.

3. Since I don't take in many carbs, I'm now restricting some of my fats as well, which is making me lose weight faster!

I've gone from 170 (last March) to my current weight of 141 lbs. I weigh myself daily, and although I've only been on Alli for a day (my diet wasn't altered, no exercise), I've lost 0.8lbs from yesterday. As you can see, this is at a faster rate than with low-carb alone if you compute my weight loss from the past three months. No treatment effects either!

This is a good way for me to lose weight, I'm a medical student with too little time to exercise. Good luck!

-Angela

I guess were all pretty much new to this thing so noone has any real answers...but if anyone nos please let me no!

Those Pesky Treatment Effects

Okay--so I get that I can't have more than 15 grams of fat per meal with Alli or I risk those bathroom related "treatment effects."

But I'm wondering about those first few days you take Alli. Even if I follow the low-fat diet, is there a risk those pills will get into my system where there's probably some residual fats still working through the digestive tract, and I'll potentially have those treatment effects for awhile, despite following the low-fat diet right from the start? I know your materials advise starting the pills on the weekend, at home, but I'm just trying to get a sense of what can be expected as also Alli interacts with what may still be winding its way through the digestive tract!

Thanks for any guidance!
