I guess I can see both sides of this story! I'm not in the same situation as some--I don't have a lot to lose (only 25 more lbs.), but still it is hard. I have struggled with keeping my weight down my entire adult life, and I know that an entire lifestyle change is necessary to do it. Personally, I am terrified of TE's, (and now more so after reading this post--thanks Jenisis for posting this). And to BrittBritt, you are right--we need to stick to the plan to lose what we want to. But I'm in my situation because I ate things I shouldn't have eaten.
However, everybody here has a different situation in their life to deal with that has brought them to this place. Not all of us have willpower--I'm one of them. Alli is my tool to help me get over it, whether it is physically or mentally. It has been a great motivator. Some of us are dealing with abusive backgrounds. Some of us are dealing with spouses that insist on large home-cooked meals. Some of us are dealing with "fat genes". Some of are dealing with health issues that limit digestion or physical exercise. We all have different personalities. It's easy for us to say "if you know it's going to cause TE's, then why are you eating it?". But they/we have our reasons for eating the wrong thing.
Personally, I am allergic to wheat, and I have some severe reactions when I eat it. I don't eat any wheat at all because I don't like the reactions I have when I eat it. However now, KFC is the one thing I will splurge on occasionally (the chicken only). Except now, I know I will have really bad TE's if I eat it on top of my other problems!
Thanks for all the posts.
