Re: Anyone seeing weight loss results yet?

I am down 21 lbs in 5 weeks...I am feeling pretty good.  The best part is that I am still just as motivated as day 1.  For me, to go 5 weeks and not feel worn out from dieting is a major milestone.  Though, I am looking at this as a lifestyle change, not a diet. :-)

     Alli start date 6/15/09

    SW: 318

    CW:258

GW: 175 (at least for now)

    MGW1:286 reached 8/17/2009

    MGW2: 257

    MGW3: 231

    MGW4: 208

    MGW5:187

    MGW6: 168 (or there abouts)

Re: Anyone seeing weight loss results yet?

Congratulations kmreagan! Keep up the great work. I am on the first day of the 3-day low calorie/low fat meal plan without Alli. I will begin taking Alli on Thursday. I have 130 pounds to lose. I have tried EVERYTHING (including lap-band surgery) to lose weight. I am so hopeful that Alli will be the "coach" to help me shed these unwanted AND unhealthy weight. My oldest son tells me he wants me to live to see my precious grandchildren grown and I want to also. So here's to the challenge ahead and my coach Alli.

I am a newbie to Alli, started taking my tablets today.  I am very enthused by reading all the encouraging reports here.  My GWL is 100 pounds and like many others, I have tried everything.  Weight Watchers, Slim Fast, just plain old dieting/exercise.  I am hoping Alli along with changing my diet habits and increasing exercise is the key for me.  Congrats to all who have lost and I hope to be one of you some day soon!

Drink alot of water...Your body is holding onto everything because it might thinks its starving or dehydrated. Drink gallons of it and you will start eliminating more waste.

I have found irregular bowel movements, no great side as of yet.  I find the site not user friendly, trying to add my new weight and unable to as yet.

Well I am here to tell you that I always seem to go up and down with 2lbs... I choose to believe the morning scale and I just leave it at that. I know that during the day I am going to eat and pick up the 1ls and maybe 6oz. but it falls right back off the next morning. I love this program it really works for me... I have lost 13lbs since april and I sit down for a living and hate excersing so hang in there :)

Re: Anyone seeing weight loss results yet?

Right before starting Alli this go around I lost 10 lbs due to stomach virus (Im assuming) so I thought well great time to start my diet since I have little to no appetite. So I eat right, cut wayyy down on carbs and calories and lose two more lbs. Thought alright I can do this. So continue with the same diet. Adding more greens and zero fried foods, get on the scale and gained two lbs back. I recently started Alli and keeping the same diet got on the scale this morning and gained another two lbs. WTH is going on with my body. Its not that time of the month and my stomach is completely bloated. Im so frustrated....But never giving up. Good luck to everyone else!

Re: Anyone seeing weight loss results yet?

I have been on it for a month, not really seeing any change in my weight.  When I started taking the pills, I also started walking and working out, at least three times a week, I work out and burn at least 800 (usually more like 1000) calories a workout.  I am watching what I eat, I was not gaining any weight before i started the pills, now I'm watching what I eat but not really losing anything, started at 203 and down to 200, after a month I'm not impressed, don't know whether to keep using pills, especially since I did not get a coupon after answering questions???? Oh well

Re: Anyone seeing weight loss results yet?

I've been taking the Alli pills for a few days shy of two months.  I haven't lost anything.  I weigh 170 lbs., height 5'4", age mid 20's.  I eat really healthy and my diet before Alli did not consit of a lot of fat.  I also have IBS with constipation but Alli has actually helped with that.  I generally burn around 1500-1900 calories a week in workouts (information provided by my Polar heart rate monitor).  I generally consume around 1400 calories a day, honestly.  My clothes don't fit any differently than before.  I figured that after two months I would have lost -something-.  I don't get what I am doing wrong.  My whole life seems to be this way.  At this point I've given up my goal of loosing weight and am just going to focus on being able to go from jogging 2 miles in 30 minutes to jogging 3 miles in 30 min or running a 10 minute mile with enough energy to go for a jog afteward.  I still feel rather depressed about not loosing any weight.

Has anyone else had the same problem?  Were you able to get over it?  If so, how?

Re: Anyone seeing weight loss results yet?

I am 5'5", 165 lbs and in my late 20's. I've been on Alli for a little over a month and have lost 17 pounds. There are weeks where I lose 5 lbs and others where I lose 1 lb. The trick for me is to do my own mini-weigh in half way through the week (2-3 days before my Alli check in). At that time, if I have gained any weight (which has happenned twice) I cut my calories from the usual 1400, to about 1250-1300, drink LOTS of water and cut carbs/fats significantly for the next couple of days. I also take a vitamin B12 supplement and drink green tea with lemon, which are both supposed to help increase your metabolism. Both times I've gone from gaining 1-2 lbs to losing 1-2 lbs overall by check in day. Hope it works out for you!

The exercise is great but you must write down EVERYTHING that goes in your mouth.  Keep doing what your doing but make sure you are write down your foods and the AMOUNT.  Don't over eat because you are exercising, you must measure EVERYTHING.  You will be surprise!

Tell me about it!!  Ihave been on this for almost a month and I am only down 4 pounds.  Before I started I ate healthy and worked out all the time, and I am continuing that but getting really frustrated about not losing more than 4 pounds in almost a month!!!!!!  I didnt get a coupon after answering the questions either!  Thought maybe it was just me!
