    **Recipe request**

I need a recipe for dipping my veggies in.

I got one recipe from the fit and fresh containers.. I bought all the stuff for it, and made it last night. I didn't like it! AT ALL. Not even enough to say "maybe it will grow on me".

So, if anyone has any ideas, please help me?? I know low or non fat yogurt would be a good base here, but what do you do with it?

    Easy shrimp dip for veggies

Wow- that's a lot of dip recipes! Here's the easiest one ever-

Mix in a blender; your favorite lowfat cottage cheese and some cooked, shelled and deviened shrimp just until it's creamy. I love this easy shrimp dip and it's extremely healthy!

winning .. I LOVE shrimp .. I'm going to try your recipe.  When you say "cooked" shrimp - would the shrimp you get that you just dip in the cocktail sauce work?

Also ... you use this with veggies or bread slices or what ?

Re: Easy shrimp dip for veggies

I like to use quickly grilled shrimp- I think it's got the best flavor, but you can use pre-cooked salad shrimp or anything. This spread is great on crackers, melba toast, with veggie crudites etc.

    Re: **Recipe request**

I have tried the veggie dip that I found on our alli meal plan, you take a tub of fat free cream cheese and chop some fresh dill and mix it in.  I have used this on whole wheat crackers and celery sticks.  It is really good!

    Re: **Recipe request**

I use NO-fat yogurt, a package of hidden valley (or other) ranch seasoning and a small amount of low-fat mayo to taste. It's great.

    Re: **Recipe request**

I keep it simple...1 block of fat-free cream cheese and a pack of Knorr veggie mix and a little fat-free ranch dressing (just to thin out a little)  I take out of the frige as desired and pop in the microwave just to soften.

    really good : )

    Re: **UPDATE**

I am so glad you liked them.

It will last for 7-10 days,  I usually do not have any left to throw out since I have to take extra to work to share.

    Re: **UPDATE**

I like to grate onion, snip chives, grate garlic, and add fresh or dried dill weed to nonfat yogurt with a splash of lemon or lime juice, salt pepper and maybe a squirt of soy sauce or worcestershire sauce. (but I also feel more satisfied the more "work" i put into my food hahaha)

    Re: **Recipe request**

1 8oz block of fat-free or 1/3 fat cream cheese

1 can of salsa (or you can make your own)

Let the cream cheese soften and mix the salsa in with a fork. Its great on pretzles and well as veggies.

    Re: **Recipe request**

     Hi Gina,

I don't know if you like avacodos but I use this on salmon steaks, and I just read people are dipping veggies, and putting it on chicken too.

    1 avacodo mashed

    1tsp mayo

    salt

    pepper

(and to use on fish/ chicken I add dry mustard and garlic)
