    Re: ice cream crazy

    Hello there,

Have you tried frozen yogurt, with some goodies crumbled on top? I like frozen yogurt, and crumble one of those 100 calorie packs of the chocolate chip cookies into the bowl.

Try 1/2 c ice cream with 1/4c skim milk and add some  frozen fruit to help fill you up...blend to make a nice milk shake.

I love ice cream too!  Try Blue Bunny FAT FREE Frozen Yogurt.  The vanilla with a serving of angel food cake and FF Reddi Whip was quite yummy!

    Re: ice cream crazy

This is what I used to do, now I just dont buy it but when I did this is what I would do. Tak a 1cup measuring cup. Pack your icecream in and use the measuring vup as your bowl. When its gone...ITS GONE!

Or, now they have those little tiny cartons. When you crave icecream go to the store and buy one for each family member. Then you dont have  alrge carton tempting you to come back for more.

    Re: ice cream crazy

I like "Skinny Cow": Mint flavor. It is an icecream sandwich, my kids like it too so it was easy to make the shift.

http://www.skinnycow.com/ here is the web site so you can see all the flavors.

    Re: ice cream crazy

I like Breyers Free double churn. It is both fat and sugar free and is 90 cals per 1/2c serv.  I like the french chocolate as part of my meal plan with a crispy granola bar crumbled over top. Qhaker sweet and salty crunch brand in Toffee Nut Crunch is my favorite/ Its like a Heath bar with coconut. This treat is only 165 cal and 2.5 g fat and fits into a healthy dinner menu nicely. This is really the only "diet " ice cream I have tried that I like. It has great texture and no aftertaste.  Try it.

    Re: ice cream crazy

I love ice cream! It's one of my downfalls. I've tried a couple fat or sugar-free brands and they weren't bad, but there is nothing like the real thing. Some days, I can kick the ice cream craving with a dollop of frozen cool whip. But when I just want to taste real ice cream, I like the idea of mixing the regular serving of ice cream with something healthy like fruit. That way it fills you up and you still get that ice cream taste without going over the suggested serving size. I like to slice a peach onto vanilla ice cream...delicious! And the peach skin has fibre that will keep you satisfied!

    Re: ice cream crazy

Try 1 cup frozen blue berries, 1/2 cup skim milk, and just a sprinkle of sugar (you can use a product like splenda...but sugar only has 15 cals per tsp so I use the real thing).  blend it all up and it is a very smooth treat! My husband and 6 mo old love it too!

    Re: ice cream crazy

I had that problem too, when I first started.  It's terrible, this whole moderation thing.  But, if you want to eat a whole bowl of ice cream, I say go for it.  Just use a smaller bowl.  I got the smallest bowl I could find, and had me a whole bowl of ice cream.  It's a psychological thing, I guess, but it worked for me.

    Re: ice cream crazy

Well, I can't help you with a larger serving size, but I can recommend a great tasting ice cream that is fat free and 120 calories for half a cup.  The ice cream flavor is Caramel Swirl made by Breyers Double Churn Ice Cream,  .  It is soooo yummy!  The ice cream is so creamy, and I have to admit that I eat almost everyday.  (I need my calcium....and yes, I am losing weight....30 pounds with alli and 10 pounds prior to alli.)  Breyers also makes a Fat Free Double Churn ice cream in vanilla and chocolate.  Hope this suggestion helps.

    Re: ice cream crazy

well, this isn't technically ice cream, but it tastes like it. For my cravings for an ice cream sandwich, i take fat free cool whip and graham crackers (even the chocolate ones, if i can find them in low fat). Layer them just like an ice cream sandwich, wrap in saran-wrap and freeze. The best part (besides the taste) is that the longer it sits in the freezer, the softer the graham crackers get, and the more like a real ice cream sandwich it becomes.

    Re: ice cream crazy

My favorite ice cream is the Edy's Slow Churned. It has 1/2 of the fat than regular ice cream. And I guarantee that it doesn't even taste like its low in fat. I love it. I switched to it long before dieting. My cousin turned me on to it. She was on Weight Watchers. I was amazed that it was so good. I love the Caramel Delight, its fantastic. Its 3.5 grams of fat in a 1/2 cup serving. Its hard to only eat the 1/2 cup...trust me.  They have cookie dough, cookies and cream, vanilla, and other flavors too. They also make ice cream bars as well, I tried the cookies and cream on the inside with the chocolate on the outside. It was wonderful!

Here's the site so you can check out the other flavors! Hope this helps!

    Re: ice cream crazy

I eat the weight watcher's icecream

or I buy the weight watcher's oatmeal cookies

married no kids I started putting on weight after I was on seizure medicine from 1996-2002. Once they took me off the steriod meds the weight just stayed and lingered. I exercise and watched what I eat but it seems like when I turned 30 the weight gain came back. Me and my husband eat out way too much and thats when I started taking ALLI in the fall of 2007 and just restarted taking it again . Anthis time Iam focused and disciplined and not going to let lifes stress make me over eat and etc.
