    Re: 2 ingredient brownies

These were pretty good, you can eat a smaller piece because it is thicker.  I have tried the mix with just applesauce and I think although there are not as many servings, it retains more of the chocolate flavor.  But I like them both..Thanks for the recipe.

These are SO GOOD. My husband who won't eat anything low fat or fat free, ate these. He did wrinkle up his nose until i made him try one. Then I had a hard time  keeping everyone out of them,(Myself included).

    Re: 2 ingredient brownies

All you need is a box of devils food cake mix, and a regular size of canned pumpkin.(I did add a little plain black coffee to moisten the mix, one of my other recipes calls for it, it brings out the chocolate flavor, I use about a third of a cup.) Then you mix and bake. YUM YUM.

I made mine without the coffee... I really liked them and the kids really liked them but the hubby said i can't call them brownies cause they are not the right consistancy LOL!! (he liked them tho) I think next time i may try with the coffee and see how it goes....

    Re: 2 ingredient brownies

I also found this recipe in Hungry Girl but it ws called ( YUM YUM BROWNIE MUFFINS )

1 box devil's food cake mix and  1 can of pumpkin ( 15 oz )

Don't add anything else that may be mentiioned on the box, such as eggs, oil or water.  The mixture will be very thick, and you will be tempted to add in other things to make the batter smoother.  DO NOT DO THIS AS IT WILL RUIN EVERYTHING!  Place batter into muffins tins ( or mini muffins tins ) lined with paper or sprayed with a nonstick spray.  Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.  Makes 12 regular or 36 mini muffins.

After they have baked and cooled off they will be sort of dry.  But after they have been stored in a air tight container they become very moist.  I like to cut the muffin in half and put cool whip that is fat free in the middle of the muffin.

( 1 Muffin or 3 minis = 180 Calories, 2.5g Fat, 37 Carbs, 2.5g Fiber, 2.5g Protein )   The cool whip would add extra calories.

    Re: 2 ingredient brownies

WOW!  These are the best!  I have tried numerous fat-free and low-fat brownies, which are always either very dry and/or hard as a rock (not to mention tasteless).  This is like eating chocolate snack cake!  I did add a teaspoon of water to help in mixing ~ they turned out great!  Thanks for this recipe!

    Re: 2 ingredient brownies

Do you know if you can use other flavored cake mixes?  I bought a spice cake mix and pumpkin- thought it would be a yummy treat for thanksgiving, but wasn't sure if there was soemthing special about devils food.

    Re: 2 ingredient brownies

Do you mix with a beater or just stir the ingredients?

    Thank you in advance!

    Re: 2 ingredient brownies

I have this two-ingredient recipe using the devil's food cake mix and a (15 oz ) can of pumpkin.  I make 12 muffins with it.  I bake it at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.  My recipe says  that one muffin is 180 calories and has  2 1/2  grams of fat.

    roocal:

I found this recipe on from hungrygirl that is so simple and yummy.

1 box devil's food cake mix

    1 can of pumpkin

Mix the two together and bake as directed on the cake box.  You've added fiber and nearly eliminated the fat.  Here are the nutritional stats for you if you cut the whole thing into 28 pieces:

    82 calories, 1.75 fat,  .64 sat.fat., 0 chol., 159 sodium, 16 carbs, 1 fiber, 9 sugar, 1.1 protein, 44.6% vitamin A, 2.75% calcium, .25% vitamin C, 4.78% iron.

I loved them.  Even my kids who won't get near vegetables devoured these.  Of course, I did help it along by putting miniature m&m's on top.  Give it a try.  You'll be glad you did.

I made these last night and they are great. My two year old and my husband like it too.
