Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Hello all,

I am currently considering the alli plan and just wonder about some of the treatment effect. I hope to get a chance to read over the program to make sure that I follow the plan regarding the fat intake correct because the treatment effects don't sound really good.  I am currently seeking to reach a goal of being 50 pounds lighter or more.  I hope that you all will ctinue to post on the message board as this will be a great inspiration to us all.  Good Luck Everyone!

I will be starting with the pill this weekend, don't wont any surprises at work this week.  Please send any suggestions for my jump start.  I currently weigh 203 and my goal weight is 150.  I look forward to my success story.

An elementary teacher in Knoxville asked her students who their favorite team was for the big game coming up. Jimmy said- Well.. daddy is a tigers fan.. mama is a tigers fan.. so that makes me a tigers fan The teacher went to him and said- Jimmy.. if your daddy was a moron and your mom was an idiot.. what would that make you? Jimmy replied- A vols fan

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    OK guys I'm in.

    Current weight is 170

Goal weight is 125-130 at 5'2

My name is Darlene i started the alli program on Jan 25, 2008. I have losted 17 lbs since Sept of last year by changing my workout habits and all of the sudden i'm at stand still. I researched alli and wanted to give it a try. I like most have done the yoyo diets that worked for a little while only to gain it back because i didn't make a lifestyle change. Well this time is going to be different. I just turned 34 in December and I'm ready to get my life back on track. I also live in Florida and my body has yet to see a bathing suit in some time now. I look forward to seeing the progress we all make together.

My first few days I was guesstimating.  It really helps to write everything down and measure. I have seen a difference since I started. Good luck!

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Hi,

The best thing to do is to go on the eating plan about 3 days BEFORE starting the pills. It gives your body enough time to eliminate some of the fat so that you won't start with treatment effects. I learned that the hard way. If you eat the proper amount of fat grams and calories you should not experience them. Good luck!!! :)

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

hi this is shameica from tx. I have always battled my weight. Like most I lost weight is high school and managed to keep it off for 6years. but in 05 I moved to tx and by july of 2006 I had my first child. Since my husband knew I was once fat I wanted to work out while being pregent but started having complications. Now 17months later and 60 pounds heavier. I am miserable, I started the alli program 1 week and 2day ago. I am not big on scales so I only weighed my self once and I don't think I lost any weight. but my dad says it takes about 2 weeks but I am not going to quit, I am in here for the long run!!! But the 2nd week I started having TE. Do you suppose to get them to know that the medication is working. The 1st week I wasn't getting any but I just did for the last 2days. Plus I am also adding excerise into my program 2morrw. xoxo shameica

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Hello everyone!

Can I join? It is great to have this kind of support and be accountable.I need to lose at least 70 lbs. That's more than fifty but I hope I can join anyway.

I was never over weight when I was young ( I'm 37 ) but I was actually pretty small. I jusr started gaining the past 10 years or so. I should have done something then but I didn't. I guess sometimes we think if we ignore the problem, it will go away. That sooooooo doesn't work!!Well, I faced myself ( and those scales) and decided I didn't want to live like this anymore. I refuse too! It is my choice.

I am so glad for alli. It gives me the incentive I need. I love the food I'm eating and I feel good too. I want to look good by this summer. I have always been curvy so I can carry some extra weight and still look ok.

I have been on alli for almost three weeks.I lost 3 lbs the first week and I have a weigh-in coming up. I think I've probably lost 5-6 lbs all together. I'm satisfied with that.

    Good luck to everyone.

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

Hi everyone!  Looks like a big turn out here.  Just wanted to report that today was my first check in and I lost 2 pounds this week which ain't bad!  Although I would have liked a 7 pound loss, I think those days are behind me now that I am officially middle aged.  And, frankly, those 7 pound weight losses really never compounded into huge successes.  So, yes, I am satisfied with Alli.  It has kept me on track.

I've been faithful except for Sunday when I went to a brunch and then a show afterwards.  Let me tell you that the show was mighty uncomfortable.  I'm learning!

    Hi Shyrcat:

I weigh in on Monday's.  I'm not expecting much this coming Monday because my time of the month is due almost at the same time.  However, you never know!  This will sound weird, but when I was just in the lady's room--I caught a sideways view of myself in the mirror and it did seem less--no other way to put it, just less.  I figured the first 8 lbs came off my chin/boobs and calves--happy to see a difference in my waist!

    Have an awesome day!

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Hello

I'd love to get in on the accountability. I'm 46 last week.. uggghhh. Just married in August. I actually had to drop weight to fit into my wedding dress. How depressing was that. Now that all the wedding stress has supsided, I put on about 25 happy pounds. I've been heavy for a while now so adding the 25 pounds didn't help. At a whopping 218.I have a husband who loves me any way I am, which is great, but that puts me in the "I don't have to worry so much about it" catagory. Well he and I talked and since he has put a few pounds on since the wedding we are both trying to get it together. He has a harder time deciding how and when he wants to put the healthy foot forward, and that's ok. At least it's at the forfront of his mind. He holds his weight so much better than i. He's super supportive in any plan I choose, in the short time we've been together I've tried a buzzillion ways to loose and has seen me fail. Well this time it the Alli way all the way. So we'll see. My first week check in is Sunday and I'm so curious to see how successful I've been. I feel like I've dropped some water weight. Peeing all the time. Only time will tell. Thanks to everyone on the message boards. It helps keep me focused. I'll check back soon.

    Hi Wendy:

Happy belated birthday.  Sounds like you will do well with Alli--I say that because you and your husband want to shed a few--so cooking will be alot easier in your household.    Tell him to eat the Alli way and you can do the pill and eat the Alli way.  My prediction is you will lose the happy pounds first.

    Good luck!

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

Janet - 10 pounds equals a clothing size.  Remeber how it feels trying to squeeze into the next size down?  Well, that's what's missing from your body - so Hooray!

Wendy - Happy birthday to you!  I'm coming up on 48 soon and can't believe that's true!  Hopefully as my age increases, my body will decrease.  I'd like to be 180 for my April birthday.  Fingers crossed and mouth closed!

     :) Shyanne
