    my starting weight was 200

    now my current weight is 188

    i want to weigh at least 150 or 140 by May... I have not wore a bathing suit in 7 years.. i always wear a t-shirt and shorts to go swimming... i am done having kids i have 3 beautiful kids now i want to be a SEXY mom... my 2 boys are 7 and 6 and they asked me if i was always going to be fat and when they say that i feel sad... i dont want my kids to be embarassed by a big mom ,so i started the Alli .. and when i told them i lost 12  pounds they were so excited and said mommy are you going to be skinny and i told them to give me some time and i will be... and i also want to wear cute clothes and not the baggy t shirt or shorts or a hoodie and windpants. i want to feel sexy.... so thank you for putting this up i will definitely do this with ya this makes me want to loose more weight since i know their are more people out there like me that have 50 pounds or more to lose... hey misty,

    my name is amber and i have always been "chunky" as i like to call it. I use to always wear t shirts over my bathing suit as well as shorts. it wasn't until a few yrs i ago that i realized that that actually made me look fatter than i was. I have been on alli since september and ive lost 13 lbs but my confidence level has increased tremendously! keep in mind that positivity is the key and that you should be doing this for yourself not b/c of what others think of you, that will keep you going and keep you positive! i just had a baby last march so i know the feeling i gained 59 lbs and felt aweful but yet i told myself i was beautiful eventhough i was heavy and that has made the weight loss journey alot easier! anyway good luch with our weight loss and hopefully we can encourage eachother through this group to reach our goal by this summer so we can wear sexy bathy suits!!!

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Hello everyone!

     I started Alli on January 8th.  I have had some TE's, but that's because I went beyond my fat gram intake.  I am just under 5'2" and 30 years old.   I want to look and feel more healthy.  I have already felt a difference and seen a slight difference in my appearance since using Alli.  I haven't weighed my self since my initial weigh-in.  I plan to weigh myself on January 7th and then every 2 weeks from then on.  I was always a fit person, until my family moved back here from Germany.  Walking to everything and eating more healthy foods and smaller portions overseas really made a difference.  After High School, I of course gained the Freshman 15 pounds, but never lost it and then kept adding on until last year when I weighed in at 209.  I said, that was enoughI  So I am working for me to look and feel better.  I wish all of you the best of luck in this change of lifestyle we are all making!

    CW = 209

    GW = 147

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    thank you for your advice... before i had my kids almost 8 years ago i took Metabolife (when it had ephedra in it)  i love it yea it made me feel real jittery but i lost a lot of weight i was in a size 7. then i met my hubby and got pregnant and now my youngest will be 3 in May. I feel unsexy about my self. i wish i didnt feel this way. but now this Alli has given me hope that maybe i can get back down. i am really excited since i already lost 12 pounds in 3 weeks so i can see there is hope for me... i would be very happy if i can get in a size 10 or size 12. i always dreaded summer cause my parents always have pool parties and i was the only one hiding i either would stay inside the house or have shirt and shorts on. but when that got wet it would all just cling to my body and i would freak .... i have been excercising 30 minutes Monday thru Friday. there is a show on Fit TV that i love My best friend is getting married this next October and i just want to look great for it ... I a so proud that you have lost weight that is awesome... yes we both will get sexy bathing suits this summer we are going to look GREAT FOR SUMMER!!!!!  thanks for your support i hopw i can be of help to you too... take care...

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Hey girls- Do you have room for one more?  I'm 46, 5'7 and weigh in on Mondays.  My sw was 202, cw 195, goal 155.  The first week was easy.  This past week i have not worked out as much and have only lost a pound.  I have a really hard time getting on to the alli web site.  It seems to take forever. Does anyone else have that problem?

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Good morning everyone!  Sounds like lots of energy and purpose on this thread.  I'm excited about this plan.  I have a couple of really big things coming up this summer and I know I will enjoy life SO much more when I feel healthier and sleeker.  I hate to use occasions as a motivator vs. just wanting to be healthier, but it is what it is.  This summer, I have a cruise, my 30th high school reunion and a big family reunion to attend.  It all starts happening in July.  That means I have 5 months to really make some head way.

    Keep going everyone!  Shyanne

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    hello

      wow you lost 7 in the first week, that's very cool. Congratulations!! My first weigh in is this Sunday. I'm hoping for results like that. I'm 46 with two grown kids. Oh yeah and a supportive hubby. Can't forget him. So why I can never stick to any diet or "life style change" is beyond me. I'm starting out at a whopping 218 with a goal weight of 165 for starters. At 5'3 that's pretty round. Luckily I hold my weight proportionately. That's my only saving grace. Exercise is the key for me. I know that if I don't it slows me way down.

    I haven't had issues siging on to the Alli website. i'm find that the nutrition log isn't as user friendly as I'd like. But in time i'll have it customized to my routine.

    good luck on the next weigh in.

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    i took metabolife too! and i followed that crazy diet where you eat tuna plain with crackers and all that non seasoned food. i lost weight too, but  as soon as i stopped i gained it back. the good thing about alli is its helped me learn to eat i never ate enough.  so i wouldn't lose weight i would just gain slowly. also even not following the plan or eating healthy i haven't gained any weight i just haven't lost any. of course i gain water weight during my time of the month but nothing that doesn't go away in week. i would love to be a size 10 by some i currently wear an 18 but those are big. im pretty sure that if i stick the plan and the exercise ill be there by june!!

    I started Alli about 3 weekes ago along with going to the gym Monday- Friday for at least one hour doing 15-30 min of cardio and weight lifting for my arms and my legs, I also do no less then 300 crunches a day. I have been stuck between 215- 214 for the past 3 weeks... im wording if im not doing something right???? I take my nifty pill with my meals and I see no difference... not even the gym is working for me!!!! I do have faith in Alli so im sticking to it... I know one day I'll be able to say I lost 50 lbs!!!!!!

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    hi Wendy - Actually, I started Alli Jan 4 with the first weigh in on Monday Jan7. I lost 3 lbs each week the first two weeks.  I did have my period during last weekso that could help account for the 1lb weight loss.  Writing down all the food you eat really does help.  When i tried to keep it  in memory....well let's just say i have selective memory loss and leave it at that...... I have 3 kids still at home.  I am in some 16 and 14.  I just couldn't suck it  in anymore! I still looked fat!   Time to go work out to my Leslie Sansome dvd.

    Hi Mely and anyone else who would like to chime in on this.  I'm wondering--for the people that are working out Monday-Friday and more--did you start working out like this when you started Alli or have you always worked out like this?

    I know starting Alli, I was/am very excited--I am working on getting the eating down first and then I am going to work on increasing the exercise part (I do pilates at home about 3 times a week).

    Just curious to see if the people that started the eating part and exercising part at the same time are the ones having issues loosing?

    Thanks for indulging me.  Janet

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Hi,

      For myself, I've worked out for quite some time. My problem was that my caloric intake over powered my work outs. All that work for nothing. So now with Alli, I've been really conscious of what i'm eating and still doing the work out. First weigh in is Sunday, so we'll see how it goes. Super frustrating but going well!

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    hey janet,

    when i first started alli i lost 5 lbs the first week with no exercise. Then i lost 2 the next week, the third week i began to walk just b/c i feel better when i exercise and i lost 3 lbs that week. i did read somewhere though  that if you're going to exercise you need to make sure you get your recommended calories and no less. im sure you would lose more by exercising but you also gain muscle mass so i would watch the inches. bc the scales may not change but you could be losing inches.
