    Alli and Prescription Medications

    Hello,

I take high blood pressure medication. If I were to take Alli will this interfere with my medication?

    Re: Alli and Prescription Medications

Hi there ladynana - you may be better off posting this on the pharmacist board instead of the "recipe forums".  Also - have you spoken with your doctor?  They are truly the ones who would know what medications you can mix.

    Re: Alli and Prescription Medications

     hi,

i too take high blood medication along with 5 other meds, for damaged nerves in my leg. my doctor says there is nothing in alli that will effect me or have any reverse reaction. actually he was glad i decided to take it since i neede to lose weight. i am physically handicapped, i cannot do exercise only with my arms. due to an accident i cant walk very good and excercise causes pain in my back and leg. i am hoping if i lose some weight it will help the pain some when i walk. thank you alli for the weight i have already lost.

    Re: Alli and Prescription Medications

Cycolsporine, a transplant drug, is the only medication contra-indicated with alli.  As already mentioned, there is a Pharmacists Message Board that can also answer any questions related to prescription or over-the-counter medications.

There is also a Fitness Specialists Message Board for advice related to physical activity and exercise.  They are great with providing tips for people with physical limitations.  And the Dietitians Message Board can help with food and nutrition related questions.

There are lots of resources from alli, and we're all here to help.
