A pickle sounds like a delicious snack!  I haven't thought of that before.  I typically chop a small pickle and put it into my chicken salad (made with fat free plain yogurt instead of mayo).

Just remember that pickles contain sodium :-)

I love pickles, I could finish off a jar by myself.  They are low calorie and fat free, and have a great crunch that help with the satisfaction factor.

When I had my tonsils out when I was 5, when they offered my ice cream, I asked for chocolate milk, and a pickle :  )

    Yay to pickles

i would think pickles would be great for a snack. they're definitly low fat and taste great. you'd just have to watch the sodium intake from them. matter of fact this thread has me craving pickles now. i think i'll pick some up when i go shopping tommorow.

Raven, suddenly I'm wanting pickles too!  I'd forgotten that I used to eat pickle sandwiches.

Vlasic Stackers - just checked the fridge - those are the slices cut on the long side of the pickle.

5 calories, 0 fat, 210 mg Sodium and 1g carbs for two slices.

    1 tbsp. reduced fat Mayo:

    15 calories, 1g fat, 130 mg sodium, 2g carbs.

    OroWheat Extra Fiber WW Bread:

70 calories, 1g fat, 160 mg sodium for 1 slice.

    Turkey Bacon, 2 slices:

    70 calories, 5g fat, 280 mg sodium.

    Total

    160 calories,  7g fat, 780 mg sodium

Have a salad on the side with FF dressing and our friend the sodium free almonds to meet your fat goal sprinkled on top and here's lunch!

Considering we need to keep our sodium intake at 2400mg or less for the day, 780's just about right for a meal.  Just have to watch that other meals/snacks that day don't push the limits.
