This is something I actually crave daily. Sometimes I'll just have it for a dessert. I take regular flavor (organic for me) oatmeal and put whatever fruit in there I want. You can use the normal bananas, strawberries.. but try canned or fresh peaches (you have no idea!), blueberries, raspberries, apples, cherries, pears... really anything!
People dont think about how artificial the fruit they put in the flavored kinds really are. Growing up my favorite flavor was the Apples and Cinnamon with the little chunks of dried apple. Now I cut up my own and its like a whole different world. The flavors explode and its a natural sweetner. I'll never buy the flavored kind again. And for a breakfast your getting a very low-fat serving of grains and fruit that fills you up. Plus kids love it. I was a nanny for a family and the first time I made it for the kids they begged seriously everyday for it. Its good stuff! Enjoy!
