    0 calorie pasta...

I know what your thinking this has to be unreal, fake, disgusting....but its not! I researched these and they really have no 0 calories! Why, they are made from a fiber that is undigestable (Glucomannan)! They are called Shiritaki noodles! They come in 2 forms. One is completely calorie free and the other has tofu added and is low calorie! I buy them online because they aren't easily found at your local grocery store. These noodles I must say are a true MIRACLE. They have 0 grams of fat, 0 grams of carbs, 0 calories and better yet the fiber bloats in your stomach and keeps you full for literally HOURS! They come in many shapes and sizes (orzo, fettucine, angel) but the most common is in noodle shape. They are very bland after being rinsed (a must rinse first then boil in salted water 2-5 minutes they have a fishy smell out of the bag from the perservative) I combine them with tomatoe sauce or cheese sauce from the macaroni and cheese box. You can use them in soup and many other dishes. I thought I would share. Here are some sites about the noodles and where you can buy them. I DO NOT SELL THESE NOODLES, I DO NOT PROFIT IN ANYWAY.

I have tried them and they are pretty good.  They do have a slightly different texture, so don't expect them to be just like regular noodles.  I found them at whole foods.

For regular pasta the Barilla plus and Ronzoni Smart Taste are the best I have found.  They both taste like regular but are packed with fiber.  The whole family likes them.

The noodles taste great with sauce but they need a bit cooking. You get used to them they start tasting normal. They do differ in texture a bit they aren't mushy at all. Just make sure you rinse them well, very well!!!! The perservative they use is smelly.
