Take that great Leap of Faith & TRUST the myalli plan...!

Hi!  I am a VERY experienced dieter.  You name it, I've been on it.  Every crazy diet and every "sane" one.  "Special" diets moderated by "counselors" (read:  salespeople) on a daily basis, internet diets, center diets, starvation diets, MediFast, SlimFast, total fast, then eat - a little gradully increasing then back to fasting again... OK... I made my point, yes?

Bottom line is, I'm 57 now and started dieting at the ripe old age of 13 when my Mom pointed out I was getting a bit of a poochy tummy (yougurt, fruits & salads, that's IT! once in awhile a grilled chicken breast or steak and preferably white, flaky fish like flounder).

So, what happened...?  I underate.  Then binged.  Never met a Dorito I didn't like.  You'd think dieting would have been "ingrained" in me but it was not.  Well, kinda sorta.  I knew how to starve myself just fine then stuff myself with all the wrong things at the first opportunity (given the choice between an apple & a snickers bar, the apple loses - every time).

Then I quit smoking.  Every time I did that, I'd put on 15-lbs :(

I decided I had to get serious.  I also decided because I'd been eating so crazy for so many years I really didn't know what the L I was doing!

Couldn't afford a pricey nutritionist - so one day I'm in my local drugstore and I spy, with my little eye, Alli.

I'd seen the ads on TV and wondered about it.  I looked it up online and checked it out.  I bought a starter pack and registered - about a month ago.

...and I'm here to tell you TODAY that THIS WORKS!

You have to put a little TIME and EFFORT into MAKING this work, but IT WORKS~!

You will learn a whole new way to EAT!  I mean, EAT!  Regular food, nothing "special" to buy like supplements, shakes, "boosters" that taste awful but cost a fortune.  You can eat what you LIKE!

I've learned a new way of enjoying my food.  And, little by little, I'm incorporating my favorites - maybe a lesser-calorie, lower-fat version - right into my meal plan so I don't feel deprived and the choice between that apple and a snickers bar isn't a consideration any more.

I'm satisfied... and I FEEL healthy!  I got sick and put on a bit but, a few weeks later (myalli is real nice about how to handle a setback, too), I'm back on track - no guilt, no shame, no embarrasment having to go into some diet "center" with a couple extra pounds and getting all kinds of looks, hassles, and calorie restrictions up the wa-zoo like a punishment.  Nope, here:  you fall off and get right back on, no recriminations or hassles.  Makes you want to stick to the straight-and-narrow which is actually pretty good.

There's dieting - and there's LEARNING to EAT with the myalli plan.  Learn to eat.  Trust the plan.  The weight will come off.

Believe ME!  Just an ordinary lady who is getting fit & healthy & will head off a lot of unwanted health issues because I know how to eat right & nourish my body and my soul with good, healthful, nutritious & delicious meals.

Bon Apetit!  Thank You, myalli!  You rock!

Re: Take that great Leap of Faith & TRUST the myalli plan...!

I am glad to hear your success and your confidence in the program. Today was my first day on the pill and I started dieting and exercise on monday. I am trying not to get on the scale until my check-in date so i am unsure of any progress I may have made in my short time. It is a great encouragement to hear what you have to say. And I must admit I feel better.

     Hi Ashley!

Good luck - sounds like you've got a great attitude on your side already (that is SO key!)  Give it a chance & TRUST these folks - they're here to help & they KNOW what they're doing!

Weighing on Check-In date is part of that "Great Leap of Faith" - I used to obsess over daily weighing and more times than not I got frustrated & disappointed.  If you MUST weigh every day I've heard take the "average" and that is your weight.  Personally, I'd rather just wait (helps cultivate the virtue of patience :) and see those 1-2 lbs just be gone when they are - seem to do a magic disappearing act! LOL

My doctor says our weight fluctuates (3 lbs is "nothing" - to him, maybe, the skinny thing, :) , not to me tho')

But if you diet - I mean learn to eat RIGHT on the myalli plan - and exercise regularly I'm sure you'll do fine!

I did, I am, and looking forward to more!  Keep in touch - would love to know how things go for YOU!

All the best!  Lois aka Dementd_Unicorn
