So I am going to lay this out there........I know that poop does not smell like roses, however I do find that since being on alli, my poop smells worse than it ever did before!   Sorry for getting so personal, but has anyone else experienced this?  I figured it was due to the body getting rid of the extra fat, but man oh man, I didn't see this side effect listed on the bottle.  Yikes!

 I think the smell is the excess fat in your stool.  I have noticed that it is worse the more fat you eat.  When I eat too much fat my stool gets lighter in color too due to the excess fat in it.  With me, over time, the smell isn't as bad.  Just keep some room deodorizer in the bathroom and give it a spritz or two before you leave.  It is a small price to pay for the fat being excreted from your body.  Mine has a heavy oily smell at times.  Everybody is different so there are probable some that haven't noticed this at all.
