Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

Hello everyone!! Linda hon, how are you feeling? Judy hon, like you, I love you all so much and appreciate how alli has done so much more for me than just helped with the new lifestyle. You all have made such a greater impact on my life than just that little blue pill!! Oh Lynn hon, I am so sorry about Maggie! Let us know how she is doing.  Hey, congrats on the house wiyh the pool!! Way to go! Well, I continue to hold steady at 132. I am still nott working out, as a matter of fact I am so tired that I am going to ask my doc to do some blood work, this is just not right! It may have been the combination of the Show, my mom falling down (she is fine but it really was stressfull there for a couple of days) and just being waking up early every morning to get caught up at work after the show! We ended up with 9 contracts and it has been really hectic! Today I took off, well it is mom's 88th brithday and I am going to take her out in the afternoon and then we are taking her to eat out. Not to worry, I do really good with the grilled seafood! Ok gang, have a great day! I may even get some pool time if I have the energy! Love,

    Elia

Live, love and laugh while you are at it!! PEP= plan, exercise and post!! Hugs,

Lynn, welcome home, we missed you too!  I can't believe you were able to make the trip and buy a house in such a short amount of time!  Another wonder woman here!  And with a pool, you are going to give our Elita some competition .  I'm so sorry to hear about Maggie, that's such a bad kind of phone call to get, because you feel guilty enough for leaving her and then to have that happen without her mommy around has to be heartbreaking.  I'm glad she is hopping around now and you're back with your baby, and us!

    Love,Judy

Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

Hey Elita, you're making me worry about you, baby girl.  When you say "I am going to ask my doc " ... anything, it worries me.  You don't do doctors, so you get your hiney there and get that blood work done.  When you talk about all you have been doing lately it pretty much explains it - you're tired.  You have a right to be tired.  You take care of yourself first, then you can take care of everybody else.  Well, your mom is the exception of course.  Eighty eight years old and she's fine after falling down, she must be quite a woman.  So, show's over, the weekend is here, lunch with mom, and grilled seafood, sounds like a lovely day.  Skip the workout and enjoy just being.

    Love, Judy

Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

Hi Linda, I'm glad you're feeling better everyday.  You and Elia better stop having that contest of who can get sick the most, not a good contest.  You are probably doing too much too.  Stop and smell the roses, they're wonderful.  You just motivated me to make some ground turkey chili.  I don't really like ground turkey but I'm thinking if I throw everything in a crock pot and let it cook for several hours it might make it a little more tender and give it a chance to absorb all the other flavors.  I'm off to the Farmers Market right now to get some fresh produce, so on the way home I'll stop at the grocery store and get the stuff for the chili.  Mmmm.

Our family did draw names for awhile, but some people (like me) cheated and bought for everybody, so it didn't work.  I think $25 will work though, there are so many little things to buy for people, it's really easier than trying to think up the perfect bigger gift.  For instance, I think those brownie pans on the infommerical are cool, with the divider thing that bakes them into individual pieces and then the bottom comes out after baking.  They are $20 and nothing I would buy for myself, and quite possibily nothing I would use more than once, if ever.  But it's a good thing to put on my Christmas list, easy for somebody and cheap.  Anyway, I'm looking forward to the holiday season much more with this limit on everything.

Yesterday I decided I would try a yogurt-only day.  I figured if I bought ten yogurts at 100 calories each, and ate one every 1-1/2 hours, I would definiitely lose a little weight, and it would be just for one day.  Then Brenna, my 16-year old granddaughter called.  She was off school for the day and knew I was off work.  She has a little part-time job, and bless her heart, she wanted to take me out to lunch at Chevy's.  Good bye yogurt.  I had chicken fajitas, which really aren't too bad, the chicken is grilled.  Of course, I wouldn't let her pay for lunch, but the fact that she wanted to was very sweet.  We spent her lunch money on some eye liner for her at Macy's!

    Love you guys,

    Judy

HI Linda, I am glad you are feeling better.  And good for you bringing your own food to junk night.  How many girls are in your biggest loser challenge?  I know you started a few weeks ago.  Do you weigh in and when does it end?  Hey, we are here for you!  You can do this, and you can be an inspiration to the other girls at work.  Stay well, Lynn

Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

Hi Judy,  I didn't even check a bag for the trip (they charge extra for that).  I left on Sunday and was back on Thurs.  After looking at about 20 houses I just wanted to pick one and be done with it.  It will be interesting to see how we do in a small house.  Having 6 kids we have always had big houses and big cars.  Time for changes.  Maggie is getting along well with the cast.  It is hot pink (neon).  I feel bad when I go to work so I let her sleep on my new fuzzy bathrobe.  Pets are so much harder than kids, you can reason and explain to kids but not dogs.  It snowed here about 1inch today.  I am not ready for this, I thought I would be out of IA before it snowed.  The snow only lasted 1/2 the day.  But it is still cold for this time of year.  I am glad to be back online with you guys.  I gained a pound but it was gone this morning....Yeah.  I need to get back on track.  Talk to you soon, Lynn

Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

Linda, you are in the zone!  Five pounds, that is a signifcant weight loss.  That's enough to feel it in your clothes.  If you were able to stick to the food you brought on junk night you are really and truly committed and in the zone.  Please keep it up, I need you as a role model.  I'm either in the zone or out of it, and I need to really refocus and do this - like you!  I made the ground turkey breast chili, and it was just great.  I was surprised that the turkey was so tasty and tender, because that isn't the way I think of ground turkey.  I don't think there is anything fattening in it and I have enough for tonight too.  You know I eat all those foods you mentioned, except oranges because I don't like the acidy citrus.  Avacado is my favorite too and I always have them in the house and put some in my salad, it's my favorite part.  I eat berries every morning with my yogurt, this morning it was raspberries and strawberries, I love blueberries but they're going out of season and getting really expensive.  I don't really like apples but I eat a small cup of unsweetened applesauce every day with my lunch.  When I think about all the foods you should eat, I think well I do eat them, I eat good, really good, but I also eat bad, really bad.  But I don't give up, never give.  Don't you either.  Keep punchin!

    Judy

Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

Hey girl friend, that was a whirlwind trip.  What is the move date?  I'm sure you told us, but I don't remember, seems like the first part of November.  That's so sweet to let Maggie sleep on your robe, I'm sure that comforts her when you're gone.  I always feel guilty about leaving my babies alone.  There is a huge storm coming in tomorrow, high winds and lots of rain, with a warning about fences blowing down and tree limbs falling.  Poor Charlie, who is barely six months old, hasn't been through a storm and I'm afraid it will really frighten him.  I'm actually thinking about staying home from work tomorrow so he won't be so scared.  What won't we do for our animals?  And what won't we do for our kids?  And what won't we do for our grandchildren?  My granddaughter Brenna, who is 16, was so sick with swollen glands for a few days.  They tested her for mono early last week and it came back negative, but yesterday her glands were huge and Renee took her to urgent care where they did blood tests again, and sure enough, it's not only mono, but they thin she has strep throat too.  Poor little baby.  She is a cheer leader and also works part time, plus school, and I think was just run down.  The doctor took her off cheer and work and out of school until she is better, which he figures will take about six weeks.  She will be on independent study at home.  She's upset about cheer because it's football season and it's the most fun of the year for cheer leaders.  The little tyke only weighs 100 pounds, and just doesn't have the resources to fight stuff like this.  She has a terrible diet, pepsi, chips, etc., so Renee is going to stay home for a few days with her and make sure she is eating lots of protein and iron.

Okay, back to work for now.  Elia, where are you?  Did you go to the doctor like Sistah Judy told you to do?  I hope you're feeling better today and got lots of rest over the weekend.

    Love, Judy

Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

    Judy,

The closing date is Nov 17 and move in on the 18th.  I haven't set up the movers with a date yet.  Sometime mid Nov.  I am so glad to be taking all of my best friends with me.

I know what you mean about Charlie and the storm.  Maggie hates the thunder and lightening.  You can't even console her she just freaks out.  I asked the vet about it and he said there really isn't anything you can do.  He said they know a storm is coming because of the barrametric(sp) changes.

Your poor granddaughter, I hope she gets well soon.  6 weeks can seem like an eternity to a 16 year old.  Sounds like she needs some rest.  They don't like to hear that.

    Love, Lynn

Re: Elia, Linda, Lizzy, Patty, Kimberley, Buzz, Judy, Where Are You?

Linda....you just hold on to those bags of clothes.  You will be in them very soon.  I am glad I didn't get rid of all my small stuff.  I think in the back of my mind that I would be back to a normal size.  I am getting rid of all the too big clothes!  I don't ever want to be that size again.  Good luck at the 3 mile walk.  I think you will give it your best shot.  We can only do the best we can with what we have.  We will all be pulling for you at the work challenge too.  You have been making great progress.  Keep up the good work, Lynn
