On-going daily exercise post support for eachother! Join/leave as you wish.....

     Hi everyone!

I just wanted to see who is interested in posting your exercise daily and weekly weight loss as you go!  I always tend to be late for the monthly challenges, but thought if I started something where someone can join anytime or quit anytime would be better.  I'm not sure about anyone else, but I have been told it is too late to join monthly ones, or other forums dwindle out and no one responds!

Please post daily if your serious and would like to give each other support and daily encouragement.  We all have very busy lives.....work, school, family, activities etc and need any support we can get.  I usually take one off day per week.  I restarted Alli after gaining 14lbs back of what I lost.

Yesterday I did 30 min of step and today will be my off day (Unless I can squeeze something in).

Look forward to your posts and support for all!!!!  :)

Hi  - is your name Dee?

I'm Jane and I'm currently doing the tracking on the November challenge.  Even with a small number of people in the group, the tracking is time-consuming for me and I know I won't start another challenge in December (and no one else seems interested in doing it, either!).  It sounds like what you have in mind would be individuals just posting and no tracking.  That works for me.

Currently, I'm on a half dose of blood pressure meds and my general practitioner feels that if I stick with the weight loss, that in 10 to 15 lbs., I could be completely off of the blood pressure meds.  That sounds good to me and I'm working toward that goal.  I get to the gym as often as I can.  If I'm actually going to make it there 7 days in a row, I'd take the 7th day off, but that almost never happens!  This week, I did strength training on Monday and mostly cardio on Tuesday - about 45 min between elliptical, stairmaster and treadmill.  Today I took off and tomorrow I hope to fit in some more cardio before work. I can appreciate your comment about busy schedules between work, family, school and activities!

Yes,I do go by Dee. I really think just tracking your own progress and sharing your ups and downs is the keep to any success.  I know I have bad days/weeks, but encouragement is the key from others or at least I find I do better if I am in a group trying to take off weight.  I'm glad to see you all are in this daily post.  I am going to go to bed (The joys of working nights), and I plan to exercise when I get up.  I'll post what I do later!  :)

Well, while I was watching Deal or No Deal I hola hooped for 20 minutes, but had to stop because now we have kids activities in the evening.  I'm hoping this will be a good ab workout.  I'll try to do some kind of cardio tomorrow!

    Have a wonderful night!

Hi everyone. I am Connie. I joined an aerobics class Oct 13, 2008 and started Alli Oct 20th (I think)! My starting weight on 10/13 was 202. I have lost 11 pounds!!!! Things are going well but they always do for the first 15 pounds!!! I am going to do it this time!!! My goal is 152...I love the excercise and it is twice a week for an hour. She teaches cadio, step, & weights. I am very excited!! This program and your support is great! (and much needed!)

Jane and Connie great work!  Connie, congrats on starting alli and your dedication to working out.  I love the support for all!  I planned on doing cardio today, BUT my family let me sleep in some and now I have to go to work in an hour.  I'll plan tomorrow to try to double up to make up for today.  The sleep was much needed though.  I'm off tomorrow night (Thank goodness).  Tonight at work we are having a "healthy" potluck.  I bought watermelon, grapes, and a fresh pineapple and cut it all up.  We had some already and it was delicious.

    Re: Sat & Sun

Connie - Welcome and congrats on your weight loss!

Dee, Kathy and Melissa - Good to hear from all of you.

Saturday I took a day off from cardio and strength training. Usually, if I don't work out it's just because I didn't make it to the gym and I had a schedule conflict or I just ran out of time.  It's rare that I actually take a day off just because I want to and it felt good to do that for once!

Sunday - my gym has reduced hours on Sundays but I got in 30 min of a combined elliptical and stair master workout and did a lower body strength training workout.

I've been maintaining on the food intake side and I hope to up the intensity on that side of the equation after I get to the grocery store in the middle of this week.  Here's wishing everyone a healthy week!

    Re: Sat & Sun

I usually do a 2.6 or 2.9 mile walk jog in the morning.  Shorter walks every other day when I do some weight training.

Then about 50 minutes or so on the elliptical in the afternoon.  I live in the mountains in Colorado so once the snow starts falling it sticks around until May so the new treadmill I got will take the place of outside walks.

I've noticed I can do more on the treadmill then "real life".

    Re: Sat & Sun

Wow Karen-----awesome weight loss!  Jane great work at getting to the gym!  I know my life is a hectic, but I try. This morning I got up at 6:30 and did 20 minutes of cardio then off to the dentist.  :(  Anyway, I plan to weigh in tomorrow, but personally I do not think I lost anything this week.  The thing with working nights is I see a different in weight if I actually sleep really well all night long and get up and weigh myself versus weighing in the afternoon when I get up when I work nights.  I seem heavier then in the afternoon even though I slept all day.  So my weigh in days are never the same because I try to weigh myself when I am off.

Great job everyone, I look forward to reading all of your posts!
