    I was thinking about all of you yesterday, and wondered if you've gotten as fed up with "the machine" as I did on here - glad to see you haven't - the menu tie-up was so frustrating I just stopeed keeping track on here at all - it's irritating to have to double-post things because it keeps getting tweaked - wish they'd lay off...

    Have been going to physical therapy and getting some exercise in there and trying to do some @home with MFC & some pilates (according to my restraints) - and have been successful some times -

     hi ladies..  i got a good workout in today at the gym.. 25 mins cardio followed by about 40 mins of various weight machines and core workout....i am gonna babysit the  grandkids tomorrow morning and early afternoon..that is uasually a pretty good workout in itself!!!   i am going to try and make it to the gym tomorrow too..  wow jane.. as much time as you spend working out lately, you must be noticing a difference..hopefully your stamina is improving too..have you measured yourself lately??   here is an "atta girl" to you from me... kathy

     Nutrition 1588/67/92 Cardio - 40 min elliptical

    Kathy - I've lost about 1/2" off my waist and my endurance is improving.  I dropped those 3 lbs. 2 weeks ago but gained 1 lb. back last week and since then I've had very little change.  I'm still waiting for the demotion at work that I requested ... I think the stress in my current job is interfering with my health in general and my weight loss in particular!

    Nutrition 1530/48/130 Cardio - 30 min treadmill and 15 min walk - easy pace (walked to and from and errand at lunch time) ... a couple of core strength training exercises at the gym this morning.  Hope everyone is doing well. - Jane

    i did not make it to the gym today, but i did ride my bike to and from work..i went on saturday and worked fairly hard..  i have been gettin a lot of walking in with all of the shopping i have been doing for the bathroom..(those home improvement stores are huge!!) .. and tonight i got my new TV  and its good to go.. so no gym tonight.. i am kinda slacking, i know..i have to get back in the groove!!  hoping to get there tomorrow.. nutrition has been good..i have been behaving in that department....i think i lost another pound recently....i bought these size 10 capris last month and they fit just right when i bought them.. now i need a belt..(i guess this is a good thing)..its just annoying when i only wore them twice..i am ok witth how i look except i still have that pudgy belly..i still am working on that..it is getting less pudgy and i only look 3 months PG now instead of 4 or 5...so progress...kathy

     Kathy - Sounds like you're doing just fine ... you're prediction that I'd drop some weight was right. I'm down 5 lbs. for the challenge (at least right now ... I don't know if some of those lbs. will come back to me for a second visit ... but I'm not putting out the welcome mat ... that's for sure!). - Jane

     hey jane...(and anyone else thats here)  i have been riding my bike to work and back lately this week.. except for yesterday ..it was raining in the AM..i did not go to the gym yesterday.. i was not feeling well..but i am good today and still didnt go..i had to take care of some house problems (freezer issue) and still bathroom vanity and finishing tiles shopping..so basically a lot of walking today and bike riding.. yes, i AM counting it..i was not parked  until i sat down here at the computer ..maybe tomorrow after work will be a better shot of getting myself there..i hope so..kathy

     Kathy,

    you look great and are an inspiration to us all. i have a pudgy stomach and look about 6 - 7 months pregnant. you don't look 3 at all. I don't see it. I am happy though that now my chest sticks out farther than my stomach. it used to be the other way around. little by little i will get down.

    how long has it taken you to get to 137/135?

    Do you do any workouts at home? today i did tae bo and sweated a load off.

    I plan to get the wii active. i've heard great things about it.

    i love the bike riding to work. good on you for not riding in the rain. i rode 10 years ago in the rain to seattle from the ferry and went right through the middle of a puddle. well let's just say i went over my handle bars and splat on the ground. didn't break anything just my pride. nowadays i might have broken something being older. when i went back to the puddle it was about 2 ft deep. so don't make assumptions like me and go through one thinking it's small.

    oh and when crossing railroad tracks just walk the bike. i tried to take those on too and went crashing as well. i can be a real ding bat at times but time has wisened me up. i think that's how to say it.

     thanks nita.. for the compliment.. i have been working at this for about a year and a half..i try and make a point of gotting at least 20 mins a day (i aim for more, but its not always possible)  i try and mix it up..i sometimes use a dvd or video on the TV if i cant get to the gym..the library  has a fair number of that sort of thing.. i do mix in some weight training  and i try and do different things so that i dont get used to the same old thing..get yourself some tunes.. i like to have my mind occupied with either some pounding rock and roll or i like to watch tv while i am working out.. i try  not to think about  the fact that i am hot and sweaty and the mindlessness of it all... i just do it because i know i will be happy when i am done. also.. if you have had a bad day.. its also a good way to vent and relieve stress.. and as far as the belly goes..its nice not to have it so much smaller  .. i remember when i first started my belly interfered with riding the bike at the gym... it was hard not to throw in the towel..but ..i gotta remember that i  am 56 years old.. and have had 3 kids.. (the last 2 by C- section).. and my belly may NEVER be flat..but i am gonna keep working at it..so .. bottom line ....keep pluggin away.. its a long road and we are trying to change our lifestyle..and working in excercise is part of it..so just keep on working at it....good luck.....kathy

    Been sick

     Hi ladies.....

    My vacation wasn't so great!  I was sick for a good portion of it (Since last Monday), and still recovering.  No energy left and still coughing.  :(  Tonight will be my 3rd night back to work.  I have 2 md appointments tomorrow so the sleep won't be too great tomorrow either. (Have not been sleeping good).  Anyway, hopefully this weekend I can try to get back to the Y and get some homework done too.
