    Re: 100 plus Group

My willpower is out the window right now and i need to get it back.  This week has been so discouraging.  I was doing really good, have lost almost 40 pounds, down to 259 then this week i got on the scale and had gained 12 pounds, next day had lost 5 of those 12, now I know it has to be water weight to be such a yo-yo in 3 days time but dang it makes me want to throw in the towel.  Once again it seems I can't keep the weight off.  OK that is the emotional side of me talking.....lol  I know with being a brittle diabetic and doing at ~least~ 3 shots of insulin a day this is common to go up and down, but need to know how to make it real weight loss and not merely water weight, any suggestions.  This brick wall I am staring at seems to be getting thicker and taller.

    Hey RubyG,

Don't despair, it is water. Help yourself by not weighing everyday. That right there can break your heart and will power. I am 5 3 and started at 230. I lost 10 lbs the first week. From past experiances I realize not to get too excited because your initial loss is water. Being diabetic and trying to lose weight is very hard. I work at a pharmacy and one of our best tech's is a diabetic. She struggles every day. I am taking Alli but she is watching my progress and wants to see how I do before she commits to Alli.

Stay strong and commited. Working hard for something makes the rewards that much more worth it. If you need a shoulder I have two very big ones to share.

hey Tina,  I am right along there with you here in NC. I started out at 305, and Sunday will be my second week with Alli, and already I am down to 294.  I am so excited.  I love this pill.  My goal weight is to be about 165.

Keep up the good work!  We will get there eventually!!!

    Re: 100 plus Group

Hi everybody!  I started dieting at 292 lbs.  I have lost 21 lbs so far with the help of Nurti-System, but it is very expensive.  I decided to try Alli and have started today.  I want to lose at least 101 more lbs.  Then, we will see from there.  I live in SC and would like to join this group and maybe find a buddy!

    Re: 100 plus Group

Hi there - I'm in!  I have been losing weight all year but picked up Alli after my friend raved about it.  I took my first cap today.

I still have 105 pounds to lose but have lost 53 pounds since January 1st - YES!!  I mad a NY resolution and have STUCK to it!

I ride a bike for at least 30 minutes 3-6 times each week and plan to add yoga (at home, thank you) as soon as I feel a bit more secure about "treatment effects".

So, if you eat a zero fat meal, can you save the Alli?  It's bloody expensive!  I ate Irish oatmeal with one tablespoon full of raisins and 1 teaspoon honey - zero fat.  I did take the Alli though, but wouldn't mind conserving them.

Anyway - I'm looking forward to weighing myself next Friday to see if Alli gives me a boost.

    Cheers!

    Hi Marthaz

I usually have Special K and some !% milk and oj so im below the 5 grams so i dont take a pill in the morning.I started Alli on 6/18 and have lost 32 pounds so not taking it for a meal hasn't hurt me.                         Linda

A year from now you will wish you had started today.

    Re: 100 plus Group

I was also a person looking at the surgery but I did not feel I was ready to commit to baby food and not feeling well when I feel good except for my weight.

At the end of June,  I started Alli and really love it.   I was lucky and have very few treatment effects but I have lost 30lbs.   Yes I have over 75 more lbs to lose I feel it is doable.

Let's hope we are all correspoinding one year from now.   I know we will take our small successes.  I am almost done with my second goal -  probably 8 -10 more goals to go.

    hey hopeful,

Thanks for the encouragement.  You seem to be doing well on your loss!  Way to go!  I have a long way to go, however, it took a while to put it on, so I know it will take a while to take it off!  I just wish it didn't. Keep in touch, and let me know how things go.

    Take care,

    Re: 100 plus Group

I would love to join your group, right now I weigh 297lbs I would love to be under 200lbs in a year!! I'm here for the long haul....would love to have some group support!!! I started Alli 3 weeks ago and have lost 13lbs. I wish it was more but don't we always lol. Atleast I'm under the 300lb mark for good I hope. I can't believe I let myself get this big. It is so depressing...I'm 31 and I want to look better in my 30's than I did in my 20's. I have 2 wonderful little children Son that is 7 and a little girl that is 4. I want to be around for along time. This is going to be a life changing event!!!!

    Re: 100 plus Group

Even the program materials say if you eat a meal with no fat, there is no point to taking alli. There is no fat to block.

Changing the subject, today was check in for me.

    SW 249      GW 150     CW  219

That's down 30# and I'm very excited. I haven't even been very successfull about following the program but am still making progress.  I must really have my metabolism kicked up.  I'm really going to try to take my pills this week and see if i lose even more. everybody hang in there. remember the goal is 1-2 pounds per week. don't get frustrated for loss less than that.

    good luck everyone
