    Assistance with my morning diet...

     Iv basically planned out my daily diet routine, to get the right calorie/fat intakes. But iv come across a problem with my morning portion, they want you to get around 15g of fat per meal, but I find it very hard to do so for breakfast, I leave for work at 530, so I dont have much time to fix anything elaborate, is there any ideas on a quick food that can get me the amounts I need and get me out of the door on time?

    Until I figure it out, iv been doing a bowl of Raisin Bran and a plain bagel with nothing on it.

    Many people find having that much fat a breakfast a challenge.  There are several things you cn do.  If you have a breakfast with 5 grams of fat or less you can skip the capsule.  If you want to be more precise you could add some nuts to your cereal, have it with 2% milk, and some peanut butter on your bagel to get to 15 grams of fat.  You might also consider a LF or regular yogurt and a some fruit instead of the bagel.

     I eat fiber one cereal, with a banana and skim milk, skip the pill (only 1.5 grams of fat) OR I make a smoothie for a quick breakfast ( I can drink it in the car) I just take a couple handfuls of frozen berries, throw a banana in and mix it with soy complete (added fiber, calcium and omega 3s) I add a heaping spoonful of ground flaxseed and that adds healthy fat and fiber.( I take my pill with this breakfast) Both really good and good for you.

     My favorite quick breakfast

    Nature valley crunchy granola bars "oats and honey"  (180cal/6g fat) I spread peanut butter on them (2 per pack) 2tbsp reduced fat Skippy that totals 360 cal and 18g fat.  you'd most likely put less peanut butter.

    I usually add an after breakfast snack to whatever I have and eat it withing an hour of the pill.... something like this

    2cups frosted flakes (cause i love them) with 1& 1/2cup 2% milk.this makes a huge bowl and totals 488cals and 7.5g fat.   then within an hour you can have a granola bar on the go.  you can even add some peanuts or whatever kind of nut you like.  Buy the jar and keep them with you. 

    I hope this helps.  I can go on forever.....

     for a fast one on the go, I like the cinnamon raison english muffins with spray butter and some peanut butter, then top the calories with yogurt.

    or have healty life bread 2 eggs fried in pam with 2 oz slice of 97%fat free ham and have a egg sandwich.

    oatmeal in the microwave cinn. splenda, toast for something warm.

    or toast spray butter with peanut butter and sugar free jelly.

    I did not eat breakfast until I got on alli now I love it and find all kinds of ways to fix things, there is low fat turkey bacon, turkey sausage, fix it in advance freeze it nuke it and go. or crush the sausage up fix with egg, cheese mushrooms and a wheat tortillia for breakfast buritto. add some sala to.

     Hey midnite? You can also try muffin with spray butter and apple butter. apple butter is low in calories with no fat and taste absolutely great. try it!

     You could spread some laughing cow cheese on the bagel or even a reduced fat cream cheese.

     i have a 400 calorie + stay under 18g of fat breakfast every morning and it's working great! i get up at 6:00am get the kids ready for school then after i walk them and walk back i start my breakfast, it's very qwick i have a cup of coffee with 5 teaspoons of non-dairy creamer + splinda surgar, 1 med banana, 2 packs of instant original grits made with water i just poor in a bowl and heat up water in the microwave poor in bowl stir and add 2 or 3 packs of splinda for sweet flavor. it's that easy enjoy plus i get my daily walking done in morning so i don't have to do any in the hot afternoon!

    i also do a 600 calorie + 18g fat for lunch and dinner, i'm around 1600 diet a day but sometimes i take it up to 1800 if feeling to hungry for the day. if there's only between 0 to 5 fat in a meal i don't take a pill, but i only have that happen with a snack.

    started last monday august 10th and allready lost 6 pounds!!!  good luck everyone

     About how much fat is in that smoothie with the soy, berries, banana and flaxseed.  Just curious.  This helps out alot when ppl give examples of what they eat for breakfast.  I had 2 cups of raisin bran, skim milk, and activia light yogurt and that's only 3 fat grams.  Getting examples has helped.  Thanks to everyone!  I've lost 4 pounds and started a week and a half ago.  Good luck everyone!
