    Alli and atypical migraines

     Hi,

Has anyone been experiencing atypical or typical migraines since being on Alli?  Yesterday I had experienced dizziness, fainting (syncope) and a migraine like headache. The ER doctor did not know what caused all this.  And now I am on  Fioricet and Meclizine.

Does Alli cause any of this and will it have a reaction with this medicine?

I have done really well on the Alli plan and I hope that this is not the cause or that it has a reaction to these meds.

    Thanks!

    Stacey

    Re: Alli and atypical migraines

First, I do hope you are feeling better today and this was an isolated incident.

alli is not associated with causing headaches, but for people who are prone to headaches any change in diet or medication can bring on a headache.

How long have you been on alli?  Did you skip any meals yesterday?  Are you close to menses in your cycle (pre-menstrual headache).

Alli has no interactions with the medication you have been prescribed and you can take them with alli. I suggest you stay off alli for a couple of days and just monitor your diet until you feel you have recovered and are feeling better.

     Sophie,

I hope you are right that this is an isolated incident.

I  have been on Alli since December 1st.  I don't skip meals and I usually have 1 or 2 snacks through the day.  I started this current monthly cycle 2 wks ago.   I will stay off for the rest of the week and start back up on Monday.

    Thanks

    Stacey
