Crystal, you should be proud of yourself! To be within 5 lbs of your goal is quite an accomplishment. Awesome job!

     Thank-you!

I am pretty happy! Looks like you are close to your goal also! You have lost a LOT of weight!! How long has it taken you? My weight loss has slowed a lot, but I know it is because I am getting close to my happy weight!

I've been losing for a year. My weight loss slowed down so I changed up some things and it's picked back up. It's amazing how small changes can really get things moving. :) I'm really excited to be within 9 lbs of my goal. Once I get there, we'll see if I decide to go further.

Re: 20's to 40's that actually check in

I di the same thing this week, my weight loss had about stopped, but I am so determined to reach my goal, and I have lost 2 pounds this week, I am very exited! 130 is very tiny, so is 139!! How tall are you? I might decide to get down to 145, but I think that is the lowest weight I could get and still be able to maintain. I got down to 129 before, but it was way to hard to maintain, and I ended up gaining all the weight back in record time!! I have a cruise I am going on in less than 2 weeks, I really wanted to be 155 by then, since I will have to wear a bathing suit in public, but I am honestly just thrilled that I am not still over 200 pounds, or this cruise would be more torture than fun!!

Good luck on those last 9 pounds, I think the last 10 are definately the hardest to lose! Maybe we can help encourage each other to reach our goals!

I'm 5'4" and small boned. Between kids I reached 125 lbs, so I know 130 is easily doable. My daughter is a little taller and has been able to maintain her weight around 122 - 125 lbs. Weight training really helps. :)

Keep up the good work! I'm sure you will have a blast on your cruise.

Re: 20's to 40's that actually check in

Hi everyone, good to see more progress posted this week, it's very encouraging. I have managed to lose 1 1/2 pounds my first week so I'm happy and no TE's either. I'm being very good lol!

However I'm frustrated that I can't check in - can't figure it out at all. Does anyone have any tips on how to use this site? I'm getting no response from "Help". Thanks

Re: 20's to 40's that actually check in

I'm just starting Alli, but have been reading the boards.  I am 36.  I'm still in the period of low-fat diet before I start my first pill on Saturday.  I don't watn to start them on a work day just in case.  So, this whole week has been low fat, and then I will start the pill and then there is no looking back!

I'm also joining the YMCA so that I can get some exercise.  Right now, I'm a professional couch sitter.

How long has it taken you guys to get so close to your goal weight?  I feel like I'm so far away, but I've got to start somewhere!!

     Hi Vikkybear,

Welcome to the alli family!! It sounds like you are off to a great start! I started alli 12-05-08, and have been very committed to reaching my goal!  I have a disney cruise coming up in 10 days, so I have had a very good motivation, having to wear a bathing suit in public!!! and lots of pictures, that I would actually like to be in some of them. I have always been the one to take the pictures, because I hated seing myself in them!! Not this time! I am going to fully enjoy my vacation, and my life from now on!! Good luck to you, it IS possible!! My best advice would be to come to the message boards frequently, you will find great support and motivation!!

Re: 20's to 40's that actually check in

Hi Trieca, thanks for your response - although I only just saw it due to the moderator keeping my post for the usual 24hrs, lol.

Yes I started a week ago on Monday so about 10 days. I was expecting to "check in" on Monday but couldn't (and still can't. All I get is a message saying "you haven't entered any data". Hmmm. Grateful for any feedback! Thx

Re: 20's to 40's that actually check in

When you signed up did you go through the process to set up a goal? If you have, check on the right side for the box that says "my goals". It should list the date for your check-in.

If it's still being a pain, try scrolling down on the myalliplan page to where you see "restart myalliplan". Click on that and go through the process of filling in the info. This should restart it with your new data.

    Hope that helps.

Re: 20's to 40's that actually check in

     Jillie,

You would not believe how many posts I have read  about people having trouble checking in!! So, you definately aren't the only one having trouble with this! They always send me an e-mail when it is time to check in...I don't have any advice to help, I personally have not had any trouble, but I started back in dec. It seems the people that have troubles are people that started after 2009, maybe it has something to do with that. If you go up to the top of your screen and click the tab that says "search" you can type in "trouble checking in" and maybe you will find someone else who knew the answer....good luck!! And welcome to the alli family!!

Re: 20's to 40's that actually check in

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback. I actually did manage to check in today, woo hoo! Who knew when it was telling me to check in on Monday, it really meant Thursday... oh well, at least that frustration is over. However the funny thing is I recorded a weight loss of 1 1/2 pounds, and the results came back "you haven't lost any weight..."!!!

Now I'm sure I'm not the only one on this forum that is DELIGHTED to see any weight loss, never mind how small, and would like to see more positive feedback than that from a machine, lol.

At least it's making me smile. I will not sweat the small stuff:)

Re: 20's to 40's that actually check in

Breezegirl, if you go to myalliplan and click on my meal plan, it will take you to where you need to log in meals. I don't use the food log on this site but use another program. You are right that this one is not very user friendly.

Jillie, congrats on the loss and being able to check in. Great attitude! Keep up the good work and you will see more positive comments as you go.

How is everyone doing this week?
