Happy Monday everyone!
What an awful weekend. My husband was so sweet to give me a great mothers day but it seems his way of "rewarding me" is to take me out to eat. Isn't that redundant of everything we are all trying to do? I think it's funny that food is a reward when it's the exact thing that we are trying to change about ourselves. All in all I didn't do too bad - mixed veggies and grilled shrimp and scallops - but the ceasar salad, bread, crispy shrimp appetizer and champagne probably weren't the best choices. Lucky for me my hubby is a big muscular guy that is alway hungry and downs the appetizers and salad before I get too much :) I know, I know don't reward yourself with food - I really wanted a manicure or some clothes and I suggested this to hubby but he wanted to go out to dinner too so that was a no go.
Here is my "reach out to you guys" question of the week: Scales
I have a Weight Watchers digital scale and I hate it!! Isn't that one supposed to be reliable? Now, I understand it doesn't matter what the scale reads as long as you weigh at the same time of day and the scale is on the same place on the floor - I learned that in WW long ago. But I can weigh myself 5 times in a row (and sometimes throw a kid on there in between times to test it) and it will read 5 different weights. Now you all know that mentally a 159.2 and a 158.5 are VERY different (or whatever your numbers are) even if that pound difference isn't even noticable to someone else looking at you. So as an experiment I moved the scale all around the room and again, it was different everytime - frustrating. Also, when I weigh, sometimes the scale will sort of jump around until it gets a correct reading and other times it just jumps right to a number and stays there. I find about a whole pound difference when it does the latter. So who has a great scale that is accurate all the time?
Do great this week and exercise exercise exercise!!!
