Re: 20's to 40's that actually check in

Does anyone seem to get sick more with colds and stuff when taking alli. I have started and stopped a few times.  It seems like everytime I start back up within a week or two I have a cold or flu like symptoms.  It has happened to me again.  I'm trying to stay strong and not give into my cravings.  Yesterday was tough.  I did eat more than I normally would.  I've stayed home from work today so I have to be added tough on myself.  Also, yesterday was my first day this week I haven't exercised.  It's frustating.  I want my body to be healthy, but I still keep getting sick.

I've actually had fewer colds and flus in the last years since taking Alli. I work in schools, so that in itself is a miracle. lol I've had 1 24-hour flu bug. That's it.

Cant say that I've been experiencing any negative side effects to my immune system...

I can't wait because after this week I can get my butt back in the gym more.  My daughter will be in summer camp, my last exam will finally be over, and nothing else to do during the day!  I'm so tired of feeling so gross, it's weird but my body just feels so "not mine" because I've never been so heavy in my life.

mbara, I love summer for the same reason. I have time to really focus on my workouts and don't have to worry about school schedules. I'm sure you will see great improvements in the next couple months. :)

Re: 20's to 40's that actually check in

Well today's my checkin date but it won't let me check in. I've lost 3 lbs. Yeah!  Although, I think I pulled a stomach muscle while cleaning out for a yardsale.  Trying to make some shopping money.  I hope it is that if not I might be getting a stomach virus because my stomach is sore.

Anyway, how is everyone else doing.  Any other Sunday checkin's.  Thanks

Congrat's  I checked in friday and I've lost 5lbs! I'm happy I've been in hospital and my Doc was really proud of my life style change and loves the alli plan. She thinks it's the best on the market!

Thanks, Crystal. :) I'm working hard at maintaining the weight but I'm finding that I still have a little bit to lose, too. Have to tone up all those lovely new muscles. :)

Re: 20's to 40's that actually check in

Hi!  I'm Tammy, 44 yrs old, married and a mom of 2 kids ( son is 16 and daughter is 22).  I started Alli on June 3rd and I've lost 8 lbs so far.  My check in day is Friday.  I have 5 capsules left and I gotta get some more.  It really works and I love it!  I had 2 days of TE's after eating a bag of popcorn.  I won't do that again.  I got pretty sick.  That happened recently.  Now I know it really works. Nothing like finding out the hard way.

Anyways, I'll be here often.  I love to chat!

Welcome Tammy - sounds like you are doing good.  I'm 32, mother of 1 five year old daughter.  I'm jealous I haven't lost 8 lbs this month.  I've decided to track what I eat in the nutrition log and see where I'm going wrong.  Pretty neat thing.  Anyway, look forward to getting to know you.

Welcome to the group, Tammy! Sounds like you are right on track and doing well. Keep up the great work.

jskdean, yes, it's very important to keep your nutrition journal! How else will you know how much you are eating? It really helps when you get "stuck", too, because you can look back over what you have done to see if anything has changed.

Hope everyone is enjoying a nice weekend. :)

Re: 20's to 40's that actually check in

I'm glad I'm losing weight finally!  I've had some problems staying on track and I gained like 15 lbs back that I had already lost.  What a bummer!  Now I'm losing that all over again.  Now I have to get back down to where I was and then get to my final goal once for all.  I'm really positive now that it can happen.  Alli has really kept me focused and on track.  I'm loving it!

I've read so many good posts on here about ppl losing all the weight they wanted to lose, like 70 lbs even!  So I'm confident I can do this.  We can do this together! Right?

hi im christina, 38 yrs old, married with a 21 yr old 20 yr old and a 3 yr old...yikes...lol...i am having a hard time keeping track of message boards and talking with people, i have been on alli for a little over a month with 10 lb loss so far. i as well learned the hard way with making my own ceasar salad dressing. i should have just dumped the whole bottle of oil down my throat, i paid for it the hard way. never again will that happen. i still have a hard time sticking with the 12 grams of fat per meal, i am always under but i do work out 4x a week for an hr and a half. i would love to get to know other users as well. hope we can chat.
