    Re: 100 lbs lost!

Thanks for answering some of my questions, Melissa.

I have been thinking about a lot of things related to the yo yoing I've done in the past - and how I can make permanent changes this time.

I was curious about your lack of exercise because for me, I've gone so overboard in the past with it and burned myself out completely. With a goal of permanent changes, I've had to really look at what has caused my downfalls in the past.

It was sooooo nice to know that diet alone can get me where I want to go, if I want that.

In the last 5 weeks on Alli, I have not excercised.

I decided to just get fully adjusted to eating properly. I will exercise, but it will only be for fun and not to lose weight. That has been a personal trap of mine in the past. When our pool warms up, I love swimming so I'm going to have fun with that - not time how long I swim and how hard!

Thank you for giving me the hope that I can do this without excess exercise.

It means a lot to know that if you did it, I can too!

I have a feeling you will be able to keep the weight off for good. Look how long you have been doing so well!

    Re: 100 lbs lost!

Wow! That's great! I'll be glad when I'm able to say that I've lost enough to meet my goal weight (125-130 lbs.) I originally started Alli in June 2007 and lost 42lbs. (starting weight was 222lbs.) But due to moving, changing jobs and the stress that goes along with all that, I gained back all the weight that I lost :( Anyway, I've been back on Alli for a month now, and have already lost 15 lbs. With the success that you had with Alli, did you exercise with the plan? I have been exercising (walking on the treadmill and lifting weights) since I've started the plan again (I also exercised the first time I was on the plan). I was just curious if you just took the Alli and stuck with the meal plan, or if you included exercise as well?

    Re: 100 lbs lost!

I have been stuck in the same weight for the past couple of months.  I have been staying away from sweets and i am cutting back in my food intake.  For some reason i am still in the same weight, i started taking alli a week and  a half ago.  I workout in my gazelle for about 20-30 minutes a day and i feel like that is not enough because i am not seeing the weight go nowhere.  how did u stay motivated in losing the weight.

     Wow!

I am just starting Allied today... after being frustrated with going to the gym EVERYDAY for the past year and not ONE pound lost, I decided that maybe I needed to change what I'm eating and not necessarily my activiy. To see you've lost so much with little exercise is amazing! You are an inspiration!

Wow!  That is wonderful.  I can't imagine loosing 100lbs as hard as it is to lose 10!  I have just started Alli after I dieted and exercising for 6 weeks to lose a whopping 3lbs.  I have already lost 4 lbs but I don't know if it is the product or the information on the website.

WOW! Now thats a story I like to read! I dont exercise alot & I eat 1400 cals & 30 gr fat average. I'm hoping to hit 100 lbs down soon. I weighed 276 lbs last Thanksgiving, I'm 186 today = 90 lbs off in 9 months. I guess we can show them how it's done huh! LOL!

    Re: 100 lbs lost!

Congrats on your success and your continued success.  I just started Alli Friday and am hoping to have the success I've been reading about.  My weightloss journey has been unsuccessful.  Working out what seems like all the time with no success.  I have tried what seem like everything, but won't give up.  I must admit at least I during all attempts my eating habits are better and improving all the time.

I am confident that Alli will help me succeed.

    Re: 100 lbs lost!

I am trying to loose 100 lbs. also.  Well, a little over would be nice.  I actually started alli a couple of months ago and lost @ 15 lbs.  I then moved and stopped keeping track.  The next time I weighed I had lost a total of 27 lbs.  I am a nurse and had several scrub tops my mother had given me for Christmas a few years ago hanging in my closet and now they all fit.  It's like getting a whole new wardrobe.  Needless to say I am now super-excited and am geared up to do this again.  I like having the extra support you can find on this site.  Only question is I have one friend in my "circle" and she hasn't posted for months.  How do I add friends?  I think being able to feel like I am not alone in this would be a tremendous help.  Any advice?

Once you know you are loved, you will never feel lonely again.

    Re: 100 lbs lost!

I just hit 110 lbs down, now my problem is all my clothes are too big. I'm wearing the smallest pants I've owned in the last 15 years and now they are getting too big. My shirts are so baggy. I guess I better start shopping for new clothes.
