     Welcome everyone!

    Julie - So glad to hear about the job! I know you can get back on the Alli plan. You can do it! Pwincess, you continue to amaze with your weight loss. Thanks for being such a good example. Do you have any tips? I have been drinking at least 8 cups of water a day, but I know that I am still retaining quite a bit, I am so puffy, it's ridiculous. So maybe I should stop! :)

    Weigh-in this AM was disappointing. I did not lose this week. I thought that I had been doing well this week, but went back and reviewed the week and was about 200 cal over every day, even though I stayed within the fat grams, most of the time just below. So I went and bought more veggies last night (I feel fuller when eating veggies) and am going to refocus on meeting the fat grams and not going over on calories.

    I am slightly disappointed, as I wanted so badly to lose 30 by today, my three month mark. I had promised myself that for every 25lbs I lost, I would get a massage. I don't want to right now, as 25 doesn't seem like very much. But we need to celebrate every loss. I have lost 26 and I have to count that for something, so I booked the massage this morning. Weight loss is weight loss, and we're trying, right?!

    Ugh - I wish I wasn't so frustrated! Thanks everyone for the support and being there and checking in. I really rely on you guys!

     Hello everyone!

    Boy what a week I had...We've been house/dog sitting for the week and for some reason I didnt' really stick to the plan which shows in my 0 loss for the week...but also a 0 gain...u win some u lose some *hopefully alot*...

    Carrena~ dont be fretting over 25lbs in 3 months, thats FANTASTIC!!! u figure...lets see on average a month has 4 weeks...1 to 2 lbs a week is perfect weight loss...so 3x4=12x2=24 so you're doing great and the good news is you'll most definately keep it off!! so you go get your massage and enjoy it like you deserve to!!! mmm get a pedi I LOVE THOSE!!!

    I really don't have any tips on why I'm losing weight I guess its just because my diet changed DRASTICALLY from before I started this journey...I used to pound down a big bag of chips a day, a box of ho ho's, candy bars, pizza, ice cream, pasta....and many other bad things...but now Im committed to eating better and healthier...I do say though I on occasion give myself a treat of a candy bar or some full flavor chips but its all about moderation...instead of eating say 20 candy bars a month i'll now eat 1 or 2 if that...but all i've been doing is making better choices and when the craving hits me to want something chocolaty or something i allow myself it and dont beat myself up about it. no one is perfect and as long as i dont let it get to a downhill spiral of bingeing or anything its all good.

    I'm also a ton more active than I used to be...I may not do tons of exercise like I should but its definately a 100% improvement over before...I like walking to the library to get some new books instead of driving, taking the doggie for longer walks, my boyfriend and I like to hike *albeit i moan the whole way cuz hauling 260+ lbs up a mountain isn't easy* but afterwards I feel so accomplished and it makes me want to push harder and better so that next time I start that climb it will be a little easier.

    Dang I went off on a tangent there lol Im sorry if your eyes are sore lol...but keep up the great work and you're doing fantastic!

    ~Side note~ Awesome thing I just have to share cuz i can't contain myself...This past Thursday I was lucky enough to go see my favorite pro football team *New England Patriots* practice at Gillette Stadium...It was the most amazing day of my life, i even got to walk out on the field and down grass angels after they left for the locker room *had to control myself from following them* but OMG it was great seeing all "my boys" up close like that...too bad i couldn't get any autographs though :( Looks like Carrena knows the game and she can see where im coming from..GO PATS!!!!!

    Okay Im done now lol...Where is everyone hiding???

     Hello to All,

           I started May 22. Have lost 7  lbs. I splurged a little on Saturday night. Back on track today.  I also have a WII. I did not use it at all last week. I'm hoping to start it on Monday. I was lazy.

    This past week, I have been right on target with calories and fat. I even talked myself out of getting a donut when they were staring me in the face screaming at me to eat them! :)

    I really focused on losing water weight. I don't know WHY in the world I have retained so much water in the past few weeks. I have cut back ALOT on sodium, I am excercising, I am avoiding bloaty foods, adding a little lemon to the 8 cups of water I drink a day, but I still retain water. It's ridiculous. I look like I have gained weight - my feet and ankles are puffy and I can't wear my ring. It all started when I got in the accident. I am SO close to going to the doctor, as it's just getting annoying. Anyway, I am starting to make improvements and it's starting to pay off. I finally lost 4lbs this week. YIPEEEE!! That puts me at 30 for since May 8, the day I started Alli. I am happy with this progress, it is a relief to know that the water is starting to go away.

    Whoa Whoawhoawhoawhoa, ladies! I am an Eagles fan. A DIE HARD Eagles fan! If there is one thing that I hate more than the Cowboys, it's the Patriots! I guess we'll see tomorrow night when the Eagles take on the Pats in our territory for the first pre-season game! WHOO HOO!!

     OH boy someone's talking smack here...I can't wait to see it when I get the bragging rights lol! I'll tell you though...i don't mind the eagles but Im Pats all the way!! I love love love football and there are only two things I hate about football..1. any team with a quarterback named MANNING and 2. the Jets! lol but heres where its gonna get tuff for me...Sundays mean football wings and pizza and chili cheese fries and of course BEER!!! Im gonna have to work really hard to get thru this season...any suggestions???

     I SO agree about the Mannings!!!!!!  Football season will be tough. I  will have to duct tape my mouth shut!!! :)

     True, true. But we Eagles fans are having a bit of a bad day, so it's not a good time to kick us while we're down. ;)

    Thoughts for healthy foods - keep track of everything you eat. Premeasure and pile your plate BEFORE walking into the room with the open bowls of chips. Also, avoid the chips. :)

    Try making skinless baked chicken breast strips with buffalo sauce and no ranch or blue cheese, but plenty of celery or carrot sticks. There are some single serving, low fat pizza options available. I like the lean square ones from Giant/Stop&Shop. PREPARE early and you won't feel like you're missing out. I hope to have lost a total of 80 pounds by the super bowl. I can't lose focus in preseason!

     now sweet lady you are speaking my kind of food...I once had someone believeing my middle name was buffalo lol...I LOVE buffalo anything *except the bills* lol so that idea sounds really good...and I could even go with this new dressing i discovered...its a yogurt based blue cheese dressing...2 tbsp are only 80 calories and 7 grams of fat...as compared to regular dressing that is fantastic and they taste good too!

    another week gone and im happy to report that I am down another 2 lbs :) Have a wonderful week everyone :)

    I saw a yogurt blue cheese at the store last weekend. It's good? If you recommend it, I will have to try it.

    I usually check in on Wednesdays, but I moved my check in date to Mondays, as my work schedule is interfering with MY schedule. Hhahaa. So I have to wait until this coming Monday before weighing in. I did weigh myself this AM though and was down 3, so I hope to keep that up and make it an even 4 by Monday! Woo hoo!

    Congrats on the additional loss. I have been rocking it this week, so I am feeling pretty great!

     Good job!  Keep up the great work and the yogurt based dressings are FANTASTIC, i use the Bolthouse Farms brand...but im sure they are all comparable...let me know what you think :)

     Hey Pwincess, I'm here! I'm here! I haven't seen Julie or Joanne in a while. I forgot to buy that yougurt dressing at the store this weekend, but will try again. I have my first weigh-in in a week and a half tomorrow morning. But I have been religious about calories, fat intake and even working out again with the bum leg, so I feel confident.

    I'm looking for some advice though. Next week, I start a two week vacation: Dallas, Memphis and Nashville. Which is great, except for the fact that these places are famous for some of my favorite things- BBQ, BBQ and BBQ! When we made these plans, we were planning on eating to our hearts content. But I REALLY don't want to do that anymore. I am now to the point where losing weight is more important to me. I also don't want to make the people I am going with (one of whom is not a very encouraging or supportive individual) feel uncomfortable with my new lifestyle.

    What are some healthier choices I can make while on vacation when we end up at BBQ places every day?

    So I'll try to check in when I can, but I will be gone a lot.

    Weigh in this morning! Down 5 lbs in the past 12 days! So excited! I am going to be a little late in meeting my goal next weekend, but I think I could make it just a few days later! I am SOO close! As soon as I hit the magic 50 mark (and enter the magic 200 numbers for the first time in almost 10 years), I am buying myself an iPhone!!!
