    Re: May ALLI Starters

    Hello Beautiful People!

I wish there were some way we could chat via IM...or PM at least.  Anyone know?

I had a bit of a breakdown in front of the husband last night.  I have a group of awesome friends in my life who lead very healthy lifestyles.  They talk about running and eating all the time!  I know God put these people here to motivate me, but it is hard!  I'm good with making healthy food choices, but my body just does not want to move. lol.  Anyway, I got a good cry out and I feel better today.  I guess that's what counts, right?  Keeping on, eyes on the prize, and all that jazz.

My new favorite thing!  Hostess Shortcake cups, low fat whipped cream, and strawberries. Yum-o!

I'm a huge Dave Matthews Band fan. :D

    Re: May ALLI Starters

Started Alli 2 weeks ago.  Lost 1lb in two weeks.  I am a little discouraged but I refuse to give up this time.  Starting the gym today.  Hoping that gives me to boost I need.

    Re: May ALLI Starters

    Hi everyone

I started May 1 2009 and I have lost 12 pounds on one week!!! I am watching all of my fat grams and calorie intake with a fine tooth comb. I want to lose weight so bad that I am doing what it takes. I have had only one treatment effect because I had to much butter. It shocks me on what we put in our bodies. Its so much fun to understand it better now what to eat and what not to eat. I weigh myself again on Monday and I hope to have good news. I am happy that I am doing this program because I was sick and tired of being fat. I look forward to hearing from you'll.

    Re: May ALLI Starters

Your going down the right path. Just start doing your exercising and the weight will start to fall off. I walk 5 days a week (2 miles) and on the weekend 30 mins. I started today working out in the house, abs, thighs etc. I need to tone up. I dropped 12 pounds in one week and thats including eating right, 3 meals and snacks. I never could lose weight like that on a regular diet alone I would gain it all back plus some (starving myself). You can do it!!!!! Don't ever give up!!!!!!

Contessastar - CONGRATS on your first weigh in! That's amazing!

JenQ - make sure that you are hitting your fat and calorie targets. While of course working in the exercise. If you stay below the fat and calorie targets, it doesn't work. Weirdly, we need fat and calories to lose weight. There are lots of posts about this in the "ask the nutritionist section" Best to you!! You will succeed!

Start Date: 5/5/09 - Weight to lose: 188

    2nd Mini Goal: Lose 17lbs - 8/24/09

    3rd Mini Goal: Lose 16 lbs -

    4th Mini Goal: Lose 15 lbs -

    Carrena,

Can you believe we had the same meal yesterday! I went out to a place called Mauricio's and had chicken fajita's. One of my fave's. I just thought that was funny.  I just started taking alli today and am about to go do 20 minutes of exercise.

    Re: May ALLI Starters

HI and welcome to the group to you and everyone !  I guess I must have been checking this May ALLI thread that I started wrong because all of a sudden there's a whole bunch of us starting in May, how great!!!!  I only had one really bad incident as far as the bathroom goes but that's because I ordered an egg beaters omlelet at a restuarant and I don't think it was egg beaters!  Since then, I've been fine.  Good luck with your Ediet and water aerobics!  I usually weigh in on Fridays, so wish me luck!

    Re: May ALLI Starters

Thanks for going the group!  I think most people are fine except for situations out of their control, which I had one and explained earlier in a post that I ordered an egg beaters omelet at a restuarant and about 1/2 hour later ended up in the bathroom on and off for about two hours (not fun!!)  If you think your going to have a night where your going to eat more than the 15 grams of fat than don't take it and you should be fine.  I've done well everyday since and only on mother's day I didn't take it for dinner but still didn't eat like crazy!  Good luck!

    Re: May ALLI Starters

HI Debbie and welcome to the group!  I too am 5 feet tall and have set 10 pounds as my first mini goal.  I have about 7 or 7.5 pounds (depending on friday's weigh in!) to go and my goal date is June 12th.  Seems like us short people have it extra hard being so short and keeping the weight off!  My husband can sit in front of the TV and down a 1/2 gallon of ice cream and not gain a single pound!  Well, us short people don't give up, do we!  I'd like to know how to put one of those tickers on my replies, too!  Good luck!

    Re: May ALLI Starters

     Debbie,

Hi again!  Just after I replied to also wanting a ticker I asked my husband and he helped me out.  First, you have to go to tickerfactory.com to sign up and get one for free.  Then you have to go to the bottom of the page and cut and past the URL code (try both if the first one doesn't work).  Then, you log into the "My Perferences" section of MyALLI.com and then onto the section on the bottom left called "my signature" .  Then, that's where you cut and paste your ticker.  To check if it works cause I'm not sure it will show up on the signature page go to any message you have sent recently and see if it comes up.  Good luck with it!
