I have been writing my story about how I gained my weight on the my allistories section and it states that it wont be seen by anybody else until I am ready for it to be seen, but right after I save it, it disappears and I don't know what happens to it and I can't find it anymore.  Is all that writing just vanished into thin air and it was a waste of my time?

Until the update is complete, you can definitely share your story on the message boards where you will receive additional feedback, insight, support and encouragement from expert moderators and other people who are in the same boat as you.
