Tasha...26 lbs is awesome.  Can you just picture two 10lb bags of flour + one 5lb bag of sugar + a pound of butter sitting on you kitchen counter?  That is how much you lost !!!  I am down 13lbs and am slowly getting back on track.  Keep posting so I know how you are doing.  I hope some other June starters will come back to this page.  Take care, Lynn

Congratulations Lynn on the 13 lbs!! That is awesome!! Yes please come and update on yourself as well, I would love to share in eachother's success!

Things are really difficult the past couple of days. I am on a "bad food" craving....I have this "craving" to binge out on fried and/or greasy food. I don't know WHAT it is! I haven't had this in a while...but man, it's bad! I'm just trying to get myself through it and stop thinking about it....it's hard though! I haven't given into the temptation and am trying to keep it that way :)

Tasha............Hang in there.  Try eating grapes or carrots and drinking lots of water.  Chewing sugarfree gum helps me when I want something sweet.  I don't have any suggestions for craving fried foods.  That is my big weakness.......fried food.  I don't make it at home so I always want it when I eat out.  I try not to eat out often.  Stay strong............you can do this!  When is your weigh in day?  Just try to make it to the weigh in day and then see if you still want it.  Keep posting so I know how you are doing.  Good luck, Lynn

Hey I've heard that if you have the craving, you should just try to slightly satisfy it or else it'll get worse. Not like go eat a whole burger n fries and pizza and binge. But maybe get yourself a small fry or eat a FEW like early in the day so theres time to possibly burn off some of those calories.

    Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~Maryalicia starting 14 June 09

Sorry haven't posted in a while I see I am not alone.  Summer is very busy here.   hopefully you will all check in soon.  I am doing great fell off the wagon for a while but quickly got back on.  needed my comfort foods and none of them tasted like I remember.  I could taste the fat and grease in some and the oils and sugars tasted way to strong.  I now crave the fruits and simple lighter tastes of my good for me food.  I am down 9 pounds I started this journey in june at 199 now I am 190 excited for my next weigh in as I am averaging 1 to 2 pounds a week just like I am suposed to.  Loving it.  My heel still hurts but is doing very well getting better hopefully it will be better by my 5K next weekend.  My daughter is going through the teenage HELL years every mom dreads I can not do anything right in her eyes right now ( this is were the food was suposed to help and didn't).  School starts here in two weeks I can't wait that is when I have accual me time.  Started the tracy anderson videos and them quit.  I love them I just got sick and couldn't find the energy.  Having my migraines again.  The doctor has diagnosed me with Hypothyroidism, fatique and muscle wasting due to Hormonal imbalance he promises that the homone therapy for these conditions will have me feeling 1000 times better and help in my weight loss.  I weigh in on Friday so if I don't post again till then hope to find you all doing well and I will talk to you real soon.  Love, Prayers, and Hope to all.

    Michelle

    Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~Maryalicia starting 14 June 09

I would like to join in also!

I started June 18th with the diet and the pills about a week later. I have lost 19 pounds so far with very minor treatment effects, except for one, that I am not sure is from the Alli yet. I have had menstral spotting for about 5 days past my normal cycle.

Anyone had a problem with that yet?

Other than that, I love the Alli and I don't want to stop taking it if I dont' have too.

    Any thoughts?

    Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~Maryalicia starting 14 June 09

Welcome Dare82, Congrats on losing 19 lbs!  That is great.  I would check with your Dr about the spotting.  I don't think it is related to Alli; at least I have never heard that before.  The people on the boards are very supportive and have some great advice too,  I think it helps to post and talk to others with the same struggles.

Hi Michelle, glad to hear from you.  Sounds like you are doing great.  Teenagers can be hard....but this too shall pass.  I am getting my last 2 kids (twins) off to college in the next 2 weeks....yeah!!  I know I will feel a little sad when they go but I have been looking forward the the next stage of my life.  I have been raising kids for 35 years.  Also, I know what you mean about our "old" foods not tasting the same.  It's true.  And for me that's a good thing.  Post when you can,  Lynn

    Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~Maryalicia starting 14 June 09

     Good Afternoon!

I am down 1 more pound this week for a total of 20 lbs!! I am still having the longest menstrual cycle in my life. I sure hope it is not the Alli, cause it really seems to be working for me. I am going to give it a while more and be sure to take a vitamin supplement daily to see if that makes a difference. I will contact my Dr. if it doesn't stop by end of next week.

    Have a great day!

Hi dare82 (sorry but I don't know your name), That is great.... 20lbs is such a big milestone.  I can't wait until I am there too.  I wouldn't wait too long to see your Dr. if your spotting continues.  Keep in touch and good luck, Lynn

    Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~Maryalicia starting 14 June 09

Hi! I am new to the forum but I started the Alli plan in late June. I have lost 20 pounds so far...wohoo! I even got my sister in law on board, and she's lost 11 lbs!

Unfortunately, I've recently hit a plateau...I did not lose any weight this week. In all honestly I'm not working out as much and can't find a groove to get into yet, but I'll figure it out. Only 10 more pounds to go!!!

    Jen

Start Weight: 182 lbs.    Current Weight: 162 lbs.    Goal: 152 lbs.

Hi Jen, sounds like you are doing great!  I was at a plateau a few weeks ago.  I got a lot of support here on the message boards.  People told stories about being stuck also.  It is good to know that you are not alone.  Just hang in there.  My weight loss has been slowing down the last 4 weeks.  But I am still losing 1 - 2 lbs per week, and going in the right direction.  Good luck, Lynn

    Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~Maryalicia starting 14 June 09

Welcome Eileen,  I think it helps to post and talk to other losers.  I started June 6, 2009 and have lost 14lbs.  I had hoped to be thinner by now but it is a process.  It took me years to put the weight on and it will have a long time to take it off.  It is changing your lifestyle by exercising, eating healthier and just taking care of yourself.  I am an emotional eater and I am learning new ways to handle stress etc.  Keep posting so we know how you are doing, Lynn
