    Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~

I agree, don't be nervous. Try not to make toooo many changes all at once...I think that if you take it one day at a time and slowly change your habits that it is better for the long run.

I have the WORST time keeping myself OUT of take out and fast food places. Uh! It's so frustrating! I just love the convenience of being able to pick up dinner on my way home and not having to cook. Otherwise, I'm stuck cooking for an hour and then another hour is spent cleaning up. I need some ideas for quicker and more convenient dinners that I can make for the whole family. I think I might check out the recipe section and see what's in there.

So what is your BIGGEST motivator?? BESIDES loosing weight? What is it that DRIVES you??

For me it is wanting to FEEL better, it's amazing how much the extra fat and unhealthy eating plays on your body. For instance, just since the beggining of the month since I changed my eating habits, my SKIN has gotten so much more healthy looking, no break outs, no blemishes, my pores are smaller...it's just amazing! And of course, I want to do it for my Fiance and Son..by me changing my life style, they will change theirs too...which only means that they will be healthier as well :-)

Hope everyone's weekend is going ok! Weekends for me are really difficult..staying on track that is. So far so good though :)

I love the Leslie Sansone video tapes.  You can do them inside and don't have to have much room.  They are quite easy too.  Also, have you guys tried the meal planner.  I was amazed that it was simple to use.  I guess it will take awhile to add everything you eat, but I was amazed.  I've never wrote down what I ate.  Today, since it was Saturday I felt like I exceeded my calories because I ate all day.  After I entered everything I was amazed.  I only ate about 1500.  My only problem was the sodium was high.  Anyway, check that out.

    Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~

I am interested!  I have a lot to lose - about 100 lbs. I have lost 100 lbs once before but then had another child and regained it all so I'm very frustrated.  When I stick with a healthy, sensible weight loss plan like this I do lose weight but very slowly so I think that alli would be great for me. I'd love to lose 1-2 lbs a week at least 3 weeks of the month... I'm eager to start feeling better in my own body.

I started the "diet" today but I'm waiting 2 more days to take my first pill... I'm VERY scared about the pill but I am prepared and ready!

    Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~

I'm interested in this too!  I started on June 3rd and I've lost 8 lbs.  I've already lost 65 lbs and I needed something to help me lose the last 25 lbs.  I've been at a standstill for a long time now.  I want to get to my goal by X-Mas so I can get lots of clothes. hehe

Don't be afraid of the pill.  It works!  You just have to stick to the fat grams and calories you're allowed.  I went over my fat grams by eating a bag of popcorn and had TE's for 2 days.  Not fun at all.  I was really sick.  I learned my lesson!

I like feeling healthy and fit.  It's a nice feeling to shop for clothes in the regular sizes.  Much cheaper too!  I enjoy shopping now.  And hubby likes the new me too.  He's also lost some weight.  So it's contagious.  My kids eat healthier and they're trying new, healthy foods.

Good luck to you all just starting.  We can do this!!!

    Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~

Brenda Kay - I know how you feel - that the number is way amount you have to loose is way to much to even start.  I would look at my scale and think how - but a few pounds each week adds up.  I'm amazed at the energy I now have for my daughter and I feel a lot better.  I started two weeks ago.  I've lost 3 lbs so far, but my little friend is here this week and I'm afraid that is why I haven't lost.  I'm going to track my calories and fat better this week and see if that makes a difference.

Good luck and let us know how you do. (Brenda Kay is my mom's name also)

    Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~

This seems like a great way to help eachother out. I recently started Alli. My current weight is 270 and my weight loss goal is to reach 200 by December (or maybe more).

I've started eating healthy and want to begin walking everyday.

I have an idea that would probably make this even better. Perhaps we should meet up on here every 1st of every month.

so lets say for example we are all JUNE starters, so on July 1st we can all meet up and share our weight loss then....    like the suggestion?

Hi everyone.  Well today is the new me day.  I start my pill on Wednesday.   I'm a little nervous. I figure if I stay with the Alli meal plans that I shouldn't have any " treatment effects"  Good luck to all.

Thought, I'd try this ticker thing.  Do you have to pace it everytime?
