    Passed a kidney stone

Last week while on vacation I experienced the worst pain ever!  What seemed like the flu turned out to be a kidney stone.  I passed it the following day.  I was planning on beginning alli the week that I passed the stone, but thought I would wait at least a week to allow my body to get back to normal.  I did read the label and noticed it had a warning about kidney stones.

I feel fine now, and there is no history of stones in my family.  This was the first time I have ever had this experience.  My question is... Is it safe to begin alli after passing a stone?  I have read a few posts that stated alli does not cause kidney stones to reappear.  Any additional info. would be great.  Thanks!

    Re: Passed a kidney stone

First, I do hope you are feeling better. It is advised to check with your physician prior to alli use if you have a history of stones, even if just once, as rapid weight loss can put you at higher risk of developing stones.  Was the cause of your stone determined? The type and cause of the stone would help determine dietary considerations for the prevention of future stones.
