    Temptation Avoided

Today my boss provided lunch from Pizza Hut for all of us. Needless to say, I could not and would not have any of that pizza, pasta or breadsticks. It was so hard saying no to all of that food, but I felt better about myself afterwards. Everyone kept coming up to me saying, "oh, a little pizza won't hurt." But they aren't the ones who will be suffering in the restroom later or having to walk on the treadmill later. Instead, I went to Subway and had a veggie deelite sub (just veggies, pepper, vinegar, swiss cheese--on wheat bread of course). I just kept thinking to myself, if I want to get to my goal weight, there are just some foods I cannot have, and food from Pizza Hut is one of them. I hope this helps anyone who finds themselves caught in this type of situation.

    Re: Temptation Avoided

Yes we can aviod temptation! My husband called me and asked if I wanted a burger from Wendys I clearly told him no.So

to make temptations even worst he bought me a burger anyway saying he didn't want me to eat off of his and guess what I

took one bite and realize I wasn't even hungry wrapped it back up and went to sleep. Any other time I would have kept

eating until it was gone but its to much work to keep falling back into old habits and the treatment effects are not lovely

    either! Lol!

    Re: Temptation Avoided

What is with all the pizza temptation for everyone lately? Happened to me yesterday! My dad just had to order pizza from dominos..and I looked up the one he wanted for the nutrition info, and there is a whopping 16g of fat in ONE slice. One! One slice has never filled me up. He kept saying one night wouldn't hurt, but I didn't cave. I made myself two (large) chicken tacos instead which only had 12g of fat and was much much more filling than 1 slice of pizza would of been. I could live all those tacos, actually, they're delicious.

    Re: Temptation Avoided

we are in the middle of remodeling our house, so wednesday we were just too busy to cook. My BF suggested pizza hut, so I went online and looked up the nutrition info. I was able to eat three pieces of a medium hawaiian on thin crust and still be in my limits. It was delicious! I have to say, we can eat anything, even pizza, as long as we pay attention to what is in it. Way to say no to temptation, but if you can't there are always healthier alternatives.

    Re: Temptation Avoided

Pizza must be the temptation of the week!!  On day 2 of healthy eating DH and I had a fight, so without realizing it, he totally killed me by making a pizza.  18g of fat per slice....well.  I had beef teryaki that I had prepared and cried in the bathroom for 15 minutes and was done.  I realized that I could do it.  I could say no.  Just to make sure I was really committed I gave pizza to my son the next night for dinner.  Cut it up and (like many moms I know) didn't taste test it before I gave it to him.

Yeah me!  It's the little victories that will make me do this.  the big goals sometimes feel so far away.
