    Re: ~~July Alli Starters!~~

It's been one week, I lost two pounds.  My check in day is Friday but didn't get online until Saturday and It wouldn't let me enter my new weight.

    Re: ~~July Alli Starters!~~

I started taking Alli on the 5th of July since then I have weighed myself twice.  I know ur not suppose to do that but I was currious and one time I was down ant the other I was up.  I watch my calories and fat and haven't had and "treatment effects" until today.  I was a little under my recommended fat intake but this morning after breakfast I had one.  It wasn't bad so I wasn't worried about it.

    My questions are...

1- Is it normal to have that effect after u eat if u r under ur fat grams?

2 - What is more important to watch closer ur fat or calories intake?  I know both r but which one is the one to watch closer?

3 - Why is my weigh flexing like that?  Is it normal to lose then gain in the first week?  My weigh in's r on Friday but Tues is when it will be my first week on the plan so I am wondering what the scale will say for the first week.

I have read a lot of posts and most have had really nice results with 5-9lbs the first week.  Looks like mine might only be 1-2lbs.  Kind of discouraging but I won't quit!  If anyone has any suggestions or answers, it would be gr8ly appreciated :)

    Re: ~~July Alli Starters!~~

I ordered Alli today and hopefully my order will find its way to Canada. I have always been active, but since I hit my 40s, it's harder to maintain my "comfort zone" weight. I am hoping Alli will help me lose 20 lbs.

I have never tried anything like this, so I must admit that I am a little sceptical.

    Re: ~~July Alli Starters!~~

Hi all! I just started taking the alli pills today. So far, no side effects.  I have tried so many diets and programs.  I am very frustrated with my weight not even budging. If anything, it has been going up. I went to my physician and broke down in tears in her office. She suggested alli. I hope this works for me!!!!

    Re: ~~July Alli Starters!~~

I started lalli ast week.  My weigh-in is this Friday, so we'll see.  I've been doing Weight Watchers off and on since March with only about 5 lb. weight loss.  I'd ultimately like to be down 25 lbs. but my short term goal is 8 more pounds.  I'm following weight watchers while using alli.

I did have some treatment effects today for the first time.  I'm guessing it's because I had spaghetti with ground beef in the sauce for dinner last night.

My only concern is that I've been doing weight watchers for so long, I'm thinking that alli will not be much help.

     Hi Everyone!!

I am also following Weight Watchers, started taking alli on July 3rd and I am down about 4 lbs so far.. My weight has been pretty much 'stuck' for the past month or so and I have noticed it is now moving in the right direction thanks to Alli!! I haven't had many treatment effects but have also been following a low fat diet so I am thinking that is why. Anyways I am hoping the weight keeps coming off!! Good luck to everyone!!

    Re: ~~July Alli Starters!~~

Well, I have been on the "diet" since last Friday. I did have a wedding last Saturday and intentionally strayed from the guidelines. Other than that, I have stuck pretty firm to the meal plans as given my the website. I began the pills yesterday and have not noticed any changes or TE's yet. I have been surprised at the flavor of the recipes on the website and have done well so far. I am a meat eater, so if I have a struggle it will be with the amount of meat in the plan. But, I have to give up something.

I do have one concern. My plan has me eating 19 Fat Grams per meal. But, the TE's are supposed to begin at 15 fat grams. So, is ti 19 or 15?

Have any of you thought through travel arrangements? I'd hate to get TE's while on the road. I imagine I'll suspend the pills while I am on the trip. Anyone have suggestions?

    Re: ~~July Alli Starters!~~

     Hi Everyone,

I started July 11th but had no scale.  I weigh in this Sunday the 19th. I think I was even heavier than I thought.

I went and bought a scale today. 180 today!   I feel much better so I am hoping alli helps me.  I am much more aware of fat grams now.

Thanks for all who write in.  I was 200 once and lost 62 lbs..it was too thin for me.  I can stay at 150 and I look pretty good but the weight creeps back on me as I forget to eat healthy.

    Thanks to all

    Re: ~~July Alli Starters!~~

    Hi everyone!

I started Alli July 9th, so this is my 7th day.  This is my first diet and I'm 32.  I'm excited because I think the treatment effects will physically remind me to keep cutting back on my fat intake.  I've lost 1 lb so far.

Let's help each other by leaving one food/exercise tip at the bottom of each post we make!  Here's mine:

    Food tip I realized today:

    1 tbsp of mayo contains 100 cal and 11 g fat! 11 g fat!!

    Good luck to all!

    Beth :)
