Alli and Celexa? Could it be keeping Alli from being effective?

    Hello,

I have restarted Alli about a month ago. I bought many "SmartOnes" frozen meals to ensure that I was eating correct portions, calories and fat grams. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week and do cardio and weight training. I work as a landscaper five days a week. Sadly, I have not lost a pound! I have had no treatment effects and have really stuck to the diet. So I'm searching for reasons as to why I am not losing. I was wondering if my taking my antidepressant, Celexa has anything to do with my non exsistent weight loss?

I'm also on Celexa.  I would love to hear from a professional on this subject.

Some antidepressants can cause weight gain because of their effect on the brain's chemistry. The weight gain can be overcome with greater vigilance.  One needs to keep in mind how many calories that are consumed each day. Physical activity will help burn calories and in itself is a mood elevator.

The alliplan is helpful as it does incorporate healthy lifestyle habits.  Alli itself is safe to be taken with celexa.
