So it would be really handy if the following happened:

The "my recipes" list was in alphabetical order.  That way I don't have to dig through pages to find what I want.  I have quite a few of my own recipes on here.

The daily tally of consumed nutrients contained sugar.  I'd like to monitor my sugar/carb intake and lower it.

 Hi Chris,

Did you try to click on the link at the top of the column where all your recipes are listed?  This should place them in alphabetical order for you.  Then you can page through them.  Example:  I went to my favorite meals and select "meal" link and it orgainzed these.

Also, you can track your total carbs for the week and day by looking at track progress tab. 

If I understand what you are describing; I think this will satisfy your request. 

 Email subscription enabled - How do I make this stay.  Every time I try to do anything with messages, I have to change this from disabled to enabled.  I am not able to see my posts to others or their responses.  Any suggestions.

 You are opt'd in to receive emails from the message board and the myalli website.  If you select edit to change email preference you will get a pop up asking you to confirm. 

If emails from the site are not appearing in your email box please confirm: 

1.  you have created you account with correct email address (look under my account information on myalli.com after logging on)

2.  the emails are not in your "junk" or "spam" folder of your email box.  If they are, mark them as safe, so you will see these.
