    fat grams

Hi - brand new to alli as of this weekend!  I have a question, though, regarding "treatment effects."  The literature says not to exceed an average of 15 grams of fat per meal, however, my calculated results allow 19 grams of fat per meal, plus snacks.  So I don't understand how I can exceed the recommended 15 grams of fat per meal without experiencing treatment effects....

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Re: fat grams

    Hi Sheila,

The research shows that 20 grams of fat in a meal is the maximum. The reason that the literature says 15 grams of fat is to allow for some hidden fat and protect you from going ove. If your goal is 19 grams you can start out with 15 grams to get used to it and then slowly increase to 19 grams.

    Does that make sense?
