I was just in the kitchen playing with my blender and made this OH SO GOOOOOOOOD shake like smoothy. :-)
Needed:
A blender or food processor
2 or 3 cups of fat free yogurt (ANY FLAVOR YOU LIKE) (My favorite is strawberry bannana & Raspberry)
Fresh fruit cut into slices (I used 1 medium banana & 1 medium apple)
1 1/2 trays of ice
1 cup of milk (1% is best but you can also use 2% since you are using only 1 cup)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Dump cups of yogurt into blender or food processor
Cut your desired fruit into slices and then put into blender
Blend until smooth
Add 1 cup of milk
Add ice in a few at a time & blend after each addition
Blend until YOUR desired consistancy ( I Like mine thick like a shake)
Pour into glass and enjoy!!!!
If you have leftovers which I did, refigerate rest and save for another healthy snack or for when you want something SWEET!
I have a major problem with wanting sweet stuff and getting the desired fruit servings for the day. This was a great way for me to get some sweetness and added fruit into my diet. I am drinking one right now and loving it.
