    Hi everyone :)

    Ready,

As of now I am not very active and I have my calories set at 1400 and I am doing the 15grams( is what the progra set me at) of fat per meal. I am 150 lbs. I have to say I think you should probably have more than 1300. I have lost some weight doing it. I posted to you uner another topic i think and I have to say that I tend to weigh differently during different times of the day. In the AM I can weigh 4 pounds less than at night. I think it has to do with swelling and water weight for me!And when it is that time of the month Forget it, I get really bloated an all. I think that may be part of it for you too.  Keep strong we can do this!!!!!!

    Leah,

I hear ya! Stress is HUGE for me and it makes me eat. We are here and we understand!!! We are here for you!  The stress of moving is terrible, but just remember that yes you do have friends here to come and vent to :)

    Hope,

Welcome! I currently am using the SmartOnes ( by weight watchers), Healthy Choice microwave meals. i find it so much easier to start with these because I know exactly what I am eating. Some of them are quite good too. helathy Choice has pizza too. just look at the calories and fat grams. I add to it if I need more calories or fat. I do this for lunch and dinner. For breakfast I use 2 scoops of protein shake mix I got at SAMS club. It works good for me because i don't hav much time in the morning to worry about eating. So far so good. By the way, i have found a yummy dessert is a fruit and yogurt parfait at McDonalds with granola. I liked them so much I bought yogurt and granola and I am going to make my own! Subway is also a grat alternative I have found. i ate the Sweet Onion teryaki 6 in sub and I bought some mini cheddar rice cakes instead of chips and it was quite good. I ahve eaten all of these and no treatment effects yet. We are here for you!!! Good luck to you. Let me know if you find any yummy microwave foods too. I need easy here as I have 3 small kids! I make them dinner, but just pop mine in the microwave. :) WE CAN DO THIS!!!

    Pinky,

Welcome!! We are here for you! I have dieted too and the ONLY thing that worked was a low carb diet, but i gained it all back ( that was after my 2nd child) I LOVE carbs and just couldn't keep it up lol WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

WE ARE STRONG WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!

    Re: October starters

ready to get your ticker there for good, just copy and paste the url and then go to "My profile" up top on blue menu bar, and then click "edit my preferences" up top under "Community" . Then go to the lower left hand side where it says "My Signature" click on "edit my signature". Paste the url there and click save. That should do it. When you udate it, you just clikc on your ticker and it sends you back to Tickerfactory.com. You enter in your pin and change the info and then copy and paste the url again  under "edit my signature" It took me forever to figure it out when I was trying to do it :)

    Re: October starters

Hey everyone! I'm Stephanie. I started alli around october 3rd. On my first weigh in I lost around four pounds, but I've splurged way over my fat limit today, and I'm worried all the hard work of last week is wasted... Hopefully I can keep doing right the rest of the week so it wont be to upsetting when I get on the scale Sunday. By the way, I  am an 18 year old Freshman in college. I would really like a big support group, I know I need it.lol.

    hope09:

     Hi everyone :)

I am also going to start this month. I plan to sart taking the pill on friday so I'm a bit nervous. Being a college student and always on the run, it is so easy to just pick up a burger and fries especially since in the dorm rooms we don't have a kitchen. We only have a small fridge and microwave so I'm limited on what I can cook. Any meals you know that may be good for microwave and alli please share them with me. :) We have a diner but they usually serve greasy pizza and chicken for the most part. I've been sticking to salads that I buy everyday, but it's getting tiring. I'm also nervous about the treatment effects because I do alot of walking from classes and hardly any restroom breaks. I've also been drinking plenty of water and cranberry juice. I have a boyfriend that is trying his best to be supportive but I would like to find support from other users, likewise I will return the support. I am at 208lbs, and hope to begin dropping weight, my goal weight for now is atleast dropping 20-30lbs. We can do this! Need to fight temptations of eating junk foods! I'm excited for this new start. This is my first diet :)

    Hey Hope09,

Frist let me start off by saying "Welcome to our group."

I am also going to college, but i commute. It is very hard to live on campus especially if the equipment need to make healthy food choices is not available. So The best advice about food is to go to the supermarket and buy frozen foods, lean cuisine, weight watcher, healthy choice...and so on. most likely the supermarket will have one company on sale..for example, 5 for 10.00 dollars...i don't think you have to buy all five but the stores recommend it. And i also suggest to buy those steam in a bag veggies...the generic kind is usually no more than 2.00 dollars. you can use the frozen foods for lunch and dinner. but for breakfast you can buy oatmeal, single serving and use milk or water...add a few nuts to bump up the fat intake..this also goes for the snacks..see whats on sale and what fits into the diet..like sun chips..100 calorie snacks..and skinny cow ice cream...and so on.

you can see the supermarket(s) circular online and compair prices that is a big help for me...i love a good sale...

I hope that helps..and remember to stay positve and believe in yourself...You can do this!!

    Re: October starters

     Leah,

Thanks for the support. All my friends in college also go out to eat almost everyday but I usually don't go with them because I know where ever they are going in not exactly the healthy I'm looking for. As for temptations, my roomate bought some chocolate rolls yesterday and she offered me some last night. It was so hard to turn them down but I'm glad I said no thankyou. :) How's your progress coming along?

    Mom of three,

Those meal tips are very useful. Thanks. I will be going to the grocery store today and picking up some healthy choice meals. Subway also sounds good, especially because we have one on campus so I wouldn't have to drive out to get it. :)

    Stephanie,

Girl! I am also an 18 year old freshmen in college and yes, it is difficult but I hope to manage. :) Congrats and that beginning weight loss and keep it going. If your college has an oncampus gym give it a visit. At first I was embarrased or nervous to go to mine because I had never been to one, but now I enjoy going. :) I feel great when I get out. I usually only go an hour every other day but it helps.

    Ready,

Thanks for sharing those meal options with me. It is difficult to cook without an actual stove. But those choices you shared seem good to try. My microwave can handle that. :) How's your loss coming along? :)

We can do this! =) Thanks for everyone's support. I'll help in any way possible also. :)

Hi everyone, hope you are having a great day!!

    Stephanie,

WELCOME!! Ready gave some great suggestions. I LOVE the 100 calorie snack packs too. We have a store called ALDI around here and I get the cookies and they are good! Don't feel bad we ALL will have good days and bad days. Last night I went over my calories so yesterday wasn't too hot for me neither. Like Ready said, just pick yourself up, brush yourself off and start again. Today is a new day! That's what is great about this plan. HUGS We know it isn't easy!!! We are strong and we can do this. Hang in there!!!

    Ready,

YAY!!! I see you've got your ticker up :) Hope you are having a great day!!

I will check in tonight, have to pick my son up in a little bit.

    Re: October starters

I am new too.  I started the diet part 10/5/09 and began taking the pills 10/10/09.  I lost 3 lbs last week and weigh in on Friday's.  I have been heavy since getting out of high school almost 10 years ago.  I am getting ready to get married for the 2nd time in May 2010 and would love to have kids soon after.  Other than being healthy for myself I am in hopes that weight loss will help to increase my odds of starting my family.  I would like to lose 80-100lbs.

    Re: October starters

    Hi there!

I would love to be in this group too.  I started October 1st and things have been going great!  However, I had my first big "pig out" today, so that was a little disappointing.  I could definately use some encouragement this week!!  But I have to say, the first two weeks went amazingly well!
