Re: Anyone jumping BACK on track? Let's form a Group!

Well, my first weigh in since I restarted, I'm down two pounds-so I'm 163 pounds now! 160 doesn't seem too far away and I'm trying to get to that point within two weeks-I think that is reasonable.

How is everyone fitting exercise in? I get up at 5 am to get ready to get my son up for school at 6 am and then the baby I sit for gets dropped off at 7 am, I get my daughter up for school at 730 am. So from 5 am until 945 am I am getting myself ready, my kids ready for school, making them breakfast and lunches and taking them to school. When I get back from dropping them off at school, I give the baby her snack, do my chores, when that is done, it is time for lunch, after lunch, the baby goes for her nap and I finish up the chores I didn't do because there are things the baby shouldn't get into, then it is time to pick up my son from school, help him with homework, time to pick up my daughter from school, make dinner, clean up after dinner, get the kids into bed and then I'm ready for bed. I get up and do it all over again. I was able to work out while the family ate dinner, but they want me to eat with them-and I felt bad about not being there to eat with them, like I'm depriving them of family time. How do you do it? I don't think I could get up earlier, 5 am is early for me. Tips/hints/tricks? Thanks!

Keep up the great work you all do!

Re: Anyone jumping BACK on track? Let's form a Group!

Count me in. I just ordered a new bottle of Alli tonight.  When I was on Alli earlier this year and following my diet I had lost 20 pounds. But after quitting Alli for 4 months I gained back 7 pounds due to making very bad food choices and lots of late night eating. So I'm ready to get myself back on track. Good luck everyone.

Not doing so well this week.  Pulled all my neck muscles so can't exercise at all.  On my period too so extra fat and bloaty.  Gained a pound which I know probably temporary.  Won't give up.  How is everyone else doing?

     Hello,

I too have been like you.  Sort of doing this half way.  I have maintained most of my weight loss from May this year, but I need to lose a lot more and I am looking for a group to help  keep me motivated.  I do check in at least once a week.

I started out at 278 and I am now down to 269.  i would like to join your group.

Re: Anyone jumping BACK on track? Let's form a Group!

Hello! I realized this morning that I needed to get back on track. I had started Alli back in July and then after a month gave up because I wasn't seeing any results after a couple of weeks. I went back to eating junk food and all. This morning I put on a pair of pants and could not even zip them or button them! All of my pants are starting to fit that way! I really need some support and motivation...

Re: Anyone jumping BACK on track? Let's form a Group!

I don't know what happens to me.  I've been on Alli since Sept. 10, lost about 8 lbs. and this past week I've lost all motivation.  I always do this.  Seems I can't keep up with the plan (whatever current diet I am on), I get tired of journaling my intake and figuring out my cal/fat grams, forget to take the pills, etc, etc.

So now I feel bloated and disgusted with myself.  I weighed this AM and am 3 lbs. up from last week--YIKES.  My Alli page asked me "Are you taking a break?"  Ha--------  I guess I did and I'm paying for it.

Enough----today I'm getting back in gear and eating low-fat, low-cal.  Will start taking the pills after a couple of days.

Re: Anyone jumping BACK on track? Let's form a Group!

Hey, let's have a headcount!  Here is a list of everybody who joined this thread and wants to be or is back on track:

Grizzly, Bluebell, Dolphin, Corinne, Kia, Deb, Tasha, Allison, Maessary, Quistina, Shanna, Kimberly, and me.

That's 13 of us so far.  So how are we doing?  It would be great if everybody would check back in here and give us an update - how much you've lost, gained, how you are feeling about it, if you're still motivated, etc.

So it's only fair that I check in.  I am so pleased with my results from the South Beach diet.  Today is my 14th and last day of the two-week sort of induction period, or as I like to call it, the detox.  The theory is that it takes two weeks to break the addiction to carbs and sugar, which is my biggest problem.  As of this morning I've lost 8-1/2 pounds and am hoping when I do my final weigh-in it will be an even 9.  Now I can started adding some carbs back into my diet, mostly fruits and whole grain bread, the things I have missed the most.  Surprisingly I don't crave the pastries at all, (not to say I wouldn't cave if somebody stuck a cheese danish in my face), so I think, I hope, it worked.  I recommend it to get you jump-started if you think you can take the strictness of it.  Can't say I stuck to the exact menu plan but I made sure I didn't eat anything that wasn't on it, and made sure each meal had protein, fat and veggies.

I'm looking forward to everybody checking in and keeping this group going, I think it fulfills a need all of us have.

Re: Anyone jumping BACK on track? Let's form a Group!

I am here and still trying.  I lost one pound this week which is fine for me.  I pulled all my neck muscles and am in pain.  I can't even walk without pain.   No way can I climb my hills and do the stairs.  I have my first P.T. appointment tomorrow.  In addition, my partner is now cooking up a storm since she is no longer in grad school and has the time.  It is up to me to limit how much I eat but it is hard!  So we all have difficulties and need to hang in there, esp. with Thanksgiving 2 weeks away!!!  ugh!
