    Alcohol, treatment effects, etc.

    Hi there,

I've been on the Alli plan for a week now. I believe that I have really done a great job limiting my fat intake and eating well all week. I had very little treatment effects until today :( I have a few questions related to this:

    1. Yesterday I ate very very well... I had yogurt for breakfast, and a very low fat dish (recipe from this site) for lunch and also dinner. Only snacks all day were a few oat pretzels. Is it possible that my treatment effects may have been from something I ate two days before? While I ate relatively well that day as well, I did end up going to a bar after work and had a few sweet potato french fries :(.

    2. Does alcohol contribute negatively to treatment effects? I did have a few glasses of wine last night...

    Thank you for any insight,

    Rachel

    Hi Rachel,

Alcohol would not be the cause of your treatment effects, but the french fries would. The treatment effects can occur 24 to 48 hours after eating something high in fat so it looks like the french fries took the 48 hours.

    Good luck,

im glad to hear alcohol doesnt give you TE, but it does have a lot of those unwanted calories!

a good drink with little calories is vodka and club soda!
