    ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Hi everyone,

    I wanted to start a post for those who have at least 50lbs to lose in order to reach their final goal weight. I started Alli on June 18th, 2007 weighing 222 lbs. My current weight is 181 lbs.  In order for me to get to my goal weight of 130 lbs, I need to lose 51more lbs. I hope to be there by June. I am going to track my weight and post it once per week until I meet my goal. If anyone else who needs to lose the same amount to reach their goal wants to join me, you can post your weigh-ins here as well. Good luck and keep up the good work everyone.

    Crystal

    Hi! Thanks for creating the thread.I have been on the program for less than a week and I want to loose 80 lbs. I've had a rough start to the week. It has taken this long to get use to the program, eating the 1800 calories while getting the proper fat grams. I do not beleive I will loose any weight this week because I have been going through an adjustment period. I am sure next week will be better.

    Hey yall...

    My name is Renae, I'm 21 and getting married next year :) I've always been heavier since I was about 4, but it got really out of control in high school. I'm 5'6'' and about 214 (I was 220 when I started Alli last week). Fortunately, I'm VERY well-porportioned... so I manage to carry my weight well. But I feel gross just knowing I have it one me, and that I cant always shop at normal shops with my friends.

    But anyway, I'd like to lose about 60 lbs total. (54 more to go!!) I just started exercising into my alli 'life change'. so we'll see on Thursday how much of a difference it makes!

     Good luck ladies (& gentlemen) :)

    An elementary teacher in Knoxville asked her students who their favorite team was for the big game coming up. Jimmy said- Well.. daddy is a tigers fan.. mama is a tigers fan.. so that makes me a tigers fan The teacher went to him and said- Jimmy.. if your daddy was a moron and your mom was an idiot.. what would that make you? Jimmy replied- A vols fan

    hi crystal

      I'm a new user as of today. Did pretty good I suppose. stayed under my calories and my fat totals. actually not sure if thats bad or good. i'M 47 in good health but oh so over weight. I'm 5'3 and 218. I'm so tired of fighting with this its exhausting. So a new begining. I'm going to think positive and take it one day at a time. I'd love to check in every time I weigh in. It will help me keep accountable. Having this support is beyond words. Thanks for the invite.

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Hi! I have at least 60 pounds I want to lose also.  I am hypothyroid (which makes this a double battle) and the pounds have been piling up after each baby (have 3 kids).  I am going to be 35 this year and live in sunny florida so I want to be bikini beach ready by June.  I am sick of my clothes not fitting for the last 3 years and refuse to continue buying bigger sizes.  I have been on Alli for the past 3 1/2 weeks and have lost 7 pounds.  I have been doing very little exercise and am having a hard time wanting to count the calories/fat grams so I really have been just guestimating things by what I think is healthy...I know, not a good idea.  Otherwise I think I would be losing more weight.  So my goal is to try harder writing everything down and actually counting the calories/fat grams like I'm supposed to be and stop letting everything get in the way of my exercise time;))

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Hi, I want to lose 45 pounds, but I'm joining in anyway.  What's 5 pounds between friends?

    SW 198, CW (weigh in tomorrow), GW 153.  Height-5'8"

    153 is my goal because 155 is reasonable weight for me and 153 buys me 2 pounds to play with.  I'm 47, perimenopausal, emotional eater and boredom eater.  I started with Alli last week as more of a behaviour modification thing.  Lunches are my downfall and I graze.  I start off the day with good intentions and then by lunch it all goes out the window.  Taking an alli before lunch keeps me honest as I break this habit.

    Good luck everyone!

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Although my plan is on hold for the time being(house fire = no kitchen), I'll still join in here. I won't be weighing in until I am in a home with a kitchen again but I have a long road ahead of me when I start again. I've began alli about 3 weeks ago and in the first two weeks lost 7 lbs. I may gain it all back now or even more but my original stats are as follows:

    sw=182

    lw=175

    gw=100

    Don't yell, I'm under 5 ft tall!

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Hi Crystal,

     I too and aiming to loose about 50lbs. I had a baby in April '07 and gained 42lbs with her. I had a c-section which made it next to impossible to excercise for a few months after but on December 26th I decided to get back into working out. I hated the way I looked and was really motivated all of a sudden to finally do something about it. I have always been a chubby / curvy girl. In high school I managed to loose about 40lbs my Freshman year. I went from a size 16 to a size 8/10.  Then in college I gained the Freshman 30 but lost that when I graduated and was able to get my own gym membership..so as you can see, if I don't work out..I gain! Plain and simple!!! The gym has to be a permanent fixture in my life. But along with the gym, I needed something to take my weight loss to the next level.  I researched Alli and decided to start taking it on Tuesday, Jan. 8. So far, I have lost 7lbs. I work out at least 6 days a week for about 2 hours each day.  My goal weight is 150 but if more comes off great!!

    I had a rough patch last week with treatment effects, but thanks to these boards I realized what I was doing wrong. I have been eating very well and very healthy but was consuming too many "sneaky" fats with olive oil dressing on my salads and too many almonds. If I didn't read the boards I would have never known how detrimental too much liquid fats can be for you with Alli and how fast fat grams can add up in a handful of almonds!

    So, thank you so much for starting this thread! I hope to finally achieve my goal and be an inspiration to myself and whomever comes across my post! We can do this! We can finally be satisfied with our weight. Good luck everyone!

    Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    I'd like to join you guys!!  I just started the eating plan yesterday and won't start the pills until Friday so I can keep on top of the TEs, but I'm in this for the long haul.

    I've had weight issues since I was about 7/8 but had gotten a pretty good handle on them during high school and shortly thereafter, until the birth of my kids and the arrival of migraines and a hysterectomy.  Between the hormones and the everyday meds I take for the migraines my body has decided to hold onto everything it can get and I'm miserable.

     It's so painful to get dressed every morning because nothing fits.  I've gotten to the point that even tying my shoes is uncomfortable and at 32 that shouldn't be an issue for me.

     I haven't been doing any physical activity because exercise tends to cause a migraine (I know, sounds crazy but it's true), but I plan to add that in as much as I can - my dog needs more walks afterall....

     Thanks for letting me into your little group and I look forward to the support.
