    Not loosing weight

I am currently eating less than 1200 calories a day. My doctor has suggested that amount of calories. I am also taking Alli and exercizing 90 mins a day. I am taking antipshycotic medication and a am not loosing any weight. Does this type of medication precent weight loss? Am I not exercizing enough?

    Re: Not loosing weight

Eating under 1200 calories is not recommended for weight loss. Your body will go into starvation mode and slow down your metabolism.

What does Alli recommend you eat?

The plan works best when you eat the recommended calories and fat for your program.

I suggest you post on the Pharmacists message board and let them know the exact name and dose of the medication you take, to see if weight gain is a side effect.  Often there are many substitutes for those medications --- without the weight issue.

In the meantime, take a look at the two posts "toolady" suggested; they're great information.  In addition, you might let your physician know you started alli and the level of calories the Personal Calculator suggested.  Using the alli suggestions is the way to get best results with the Program.  I'm sure your doctor will agree.

    I hope this helps.
